  1. Hi Angie! Are you drinking enough water? I know that can be a big key to see the numbers on the scale. With all of the fat we are losing, you need the fluids to flush it out. My nutritionalist said that I will need to drink 48 - 64 ounces of fluids a day. I've only lost about 7 pounds since the surgery, but I know that had I not had the surgery, I would have easily gained 5 over the holidays, so in retrospect that seems pretty good.
  2. I was banded on Dec. 17th. I did not have to do a pre-band diet. On the 16th, I was on clear liquids, I only had sips of water on the 17th so by the 19th I was starving. I drank way to much. I still feel sick today. I guess I don't have the knowing when to stop down yet.
  3. Hi, I'm new to this site. I have 3 kids. A daughter, 10 going into 5th grade. A daughter 8, going into 3rd grade, and a sone 6 going into 1st grade. I'm scheduled to have surgery August 20th. I can't believe all of the appointments I have scheduled in the next 3 weeks. It's nice to know that they are covering all of the bases, but I work full time and all of these appointments are killing me. I'm excited to have the surgery, but part of me it worried. Eating is one of my favorite past times. I eat when I'm happy, sad, nervous... pretty much every occassion. I've been overweight all of my life and it scares me a little to think of what life would be like as a "normal" person. I can't even imagine buying clothes in a regular store. It would be a dream. I worry most that I will sabotage myself. I'm glad I found this website. It will be good to have so much support.
