wow....thanks for checking in. Its been six months since my surgery and I am down 42 pounds, I have had two fills since my surgery and I am soooo happy, I have never regretted this decision, I started at a size 18/20 and I am now in a size 14 and they are actually baggy on me 1/2 way through the day...... I again tell you that I have never regretted doing this it has been such a positive experience for me.... feel free to email me... bunnburner@live.com How are you since your surgery? Dr. Zapata is wonderful!! I had my surgery on Aug 15th with him and his team. All went smooth...the only issue i had is I dont' speak spanish and I should have brushed up because the nurses do not speak much english....but Dr. Zapata and the Anesthisologist did...it went great!! I never have regretted this for one minute!!! good luck to you!! Hi Everyone.....I am Gale & I am from Bayville (near Toms River) I was surprised to stumble upon this thread...I love the fact that there are so many of us out there from New Jersey. I went to mexico to be banded on August 15th I am down 20 Pounds and so happy with my decision!! I had my first fill at fill centers in Marlton...the doctor was so wonderful I was so impressed. Hey Peaches, congrats on your banding, I was also banded on 08/15/2008 I went to Mexico to have it done....I feel fine, sore, but fine....Eating? I keep thinking I am not doing it "properly" but I have lost 5 pounds already...woot woot....:thumbup:

I have been trying to find anyone with stories about being banded in mexico. I am scheduled for August 15th in Monterrey, Mexico Dr. Zapata is doing the surgery. I would like any feed back anyone can give me. Thanks so much!! :cry_smile:

Hi there, I am scheduled for surgery on August 15th, I am so excited and a bit nervous as I am having it done in Mexico as a self pay. My insurance will not qualify me so I finally gave up. I see alot of people are talking about getting it this month!! good luck to all and please give feedback ASAP!!! :biggrin:
