  1. Hi I'm looking for someone who has had previous weight loss surgery and is now banded or going to be banded. Back in about 1985 I had the stapeling that was available then. I lost 82lbs and then the stapeling opened up and that was that. I gained the weight I had lost and more. I'm am scheduled for banding in Mexico with Dr. Ortiz in October. I am trying to get my BMI down because of the previous surgery and increased risks. I haven't talked with anyone who has had surgery before and how they are doing. I spoke with Dr. Ortiz who assures me he often has more success with previous surgery patients due to motivation and previous understanding of what to expect. Any help will be appreciated.
