Oh I'm not going nuts, just like 30 days of the multivitamins (chewable), the calcium tabs, stuff like that, that I know will absolutely slip my mind if I don't get them now. I haven't ordered any protein yet, I know I want to get a few of those protein shots for right after surgery then I'll probably just try stuff and see what I like from whatever I can find locally. I do appreciate you looking out tho!!

Feb 2 VSG in Texas.
My program doesn't require a liquid diet so I start my liver shrinking low carb diet the 19th. I'm working on cutting out caffeine before surgery and just getting my supplies ordered and ready so I don't have to worry about it post-op

Insurance approved my surgery!! Submitted on 1/28 and approved on 2/1. Pre-op diet starts 2/7 and surgery on 2/17!!!

Same her. Surgery went great yesterday 40 minutes with no hernia needing repaired. Stayed last night. Home now. Some discomfort but not really pain. Watching Olympics now. Sending love and positive vibes to all my Feb surgery buddies. We've got this!!

Can't believe we Finally made it!!!! I'm so happy!

My surgeon just delivered a bear in honor of my Bariatric surgery. I am hoping to be ready to leave the hospital by 2:30!

I ended up having my surgery Feb 2 instead of 3, doing pretty well lots of gassy pain, lots of learning how to eat and treat my new stomach. I was supposed to go home today but the hospital asked me to stay because the ice we got. So hopefully I can go home tomorrow.

How is everyone who had surgery today? I feel great except for the gas pains in my back!

I am scheduled for 2/3. Today was difficult. Weekends are less busy and I am around all the food. Only a few more days before we join the losers bench! I am on clear liquids on Wednesday. I work Mon, Tues, and Wed so I should be plenty distracted and do fine.

I am very low energy today.

Excitement builds as we get closer.

I’m an 5 days post op and I am feeling so much better. Wish I could eat but I am still on clear liquids until my next appointment

I live in AZ. My insurance does not cover it. My total out of pocket is $5100 plus airfare. Medical tourism.

I'll definitely have to try that variety pack for my low carb diet before surgery! Get a feel for what I like more. I shop at Sam's club and they have cases of the premier shakes but I don't want to commit to anything in bulk until I know what works after surgery.
