  1. That’s ok and valid. I live alone with the exception of my son but I’ll also be by myself. This journey is for you, having the support is wonderful and naturally who wouldn’t want it but if you don’t have it, don’t let their lack of involvement derail all the wonderful things happening with you. Your success will be how you show them you don’t need their support. I know we’re not there with you but we’re here!
  2. Thank you so much for sharing your first encounters post op. I sincerely appreciate it! I’m pre op until 2/28, so this is good stuff. So glad you are seeing the benefits already too. You sound like even if that weren’t the case mentally you’d work through it and still come out great. Keep updating us please we are reading! ???
  3. That is so awesome ! I wonder if we have the same body type too lol More in the hips for me. Good luck to you too!
  4. February 28th here! Atlanta Georgia. I started this journey July 2021 @330. I finished my requirements by October, now at 304lbs. Labs, EKG, Insurance approval all good thank the Good Lord above. I have advanced Osteoarthritis so I need to lose some weight before they’ll do any knee surgeries on me. So now I’m just waiting for the day to come. My surgeons preop is 2/8.
  5. What had helped me is staying within my protein requirements, I do have a great support system. Plus it has helped me when I plan to have foods on hand that I can eat and not just pick at what’s available. If I’m satisfied, then the bad food around me doesn’t bother me. Or I just remove myself from where the food is, lol It will take some time before you build up resistance, so don’t be too hard on yourself if you give in a little, it’s going to take time.
  6. Hello! Long time lurker, first reply. I’m going to be sleeved on 2/28. I had my EGD this week, small hernia found that will need to be fixed. I have a few more preop appointments next week. I started adapting to my new lifestyle months ago so slowly, so I’m ready, I started at 330 in July. I’m at 303 today. I don’t know how to put my finger on it but all my attempts at weight loss did not feel like this. I think I’m just over all the limitations I have. I have advanced osteoarthritis and I’m just sick of not being able to get around. I’m in Atlanta Georgia. love this forum it has helped me tremendously.
