Hi there, I had my surgery on Monday too. I have to agree with you, I had no idea that the gas pain would be so bad. Today does seem to be a little better though, thank goodness! Just wanted to say hi. Good luck to you! HOpe we are both pain-free very soon! Renae

Hi everyone! I leave tomorrow to travel 4 hours for my lap-band procedure. I'm nervous, anxious, excited all rolled up. I want this to be a success from beginning to end... Well, I'm on my way. I just had a brief consultation. Basically, we just went over my stats and she explained how the appts will work if I'm approved. I will have to go to El Paso 3 times. Once for an entire day to do a nutritional, psychiatric and attend a seminar. After that, I will have to go & meet the surgeon then the last will be for my surgery. I will also have to do follow up appts for my adjustments but that's down the road a bit. I seem to have all of the factors needed to have this done so I'm hoping for it to go through. She faxed over a medical release form, and already filled it out & faxed it back. Now I wait... She said it takes 4 to 6 weeks to get an approval. I want this so bad. I just need to do something to keep myself busy between now & then. What I SHOULD do is find a way to bring in some money to help pay for this! Any ideas?? I'm going to start taking my blood pressure medication tonight. We'll see how it makes me feel. RJ is going to be in El Paso this week for work so it's just the kids and me. I hope this approval process goes quickly. She said after the approval, everything else gets done fairly quickly. Here's hoping for time to fly!! And a smile at the end of course. :cursing:
