  1. I stayed 1 night at the hospital. Supposed to be 2 but I was doing well. I was off work for a month. I didn't need to be off that long, I could have gone back after 2 weeks but my surgeon didn't release me until a month. They wanted me to focus on my recovery and new habits. I will say I was very very tired 2 weeks out. After my abdominal block wore off it was difficult to sleep so I took a lot of naps. I went back to work this week and I'm so tired after working its not even funny. I can definitely tell that even though physically I'm not in pain I still get worn out. Plus mentally I don't feel like myself. Not because I regret anything- this was the best decision I ever made. But your hormones and vitamin levels change. You eat less food so your body is like WTF you doing? I was told it can take up to 3 months to feel "normal". Don't stress yourself out by trying to go back to work early. The beauty of surgery is there is FMLA and short term disability. Take the time you need to focus on YOU. Your job will be there when you are ready. Good luck Sent from my SM-G998U using BariatricPal mobile app

  3. Hi all! First time posting. RnY surgery was Sept 15th and so far I'm down 40 lbs total. I'm so glad to hear I'm not alone with the stall because I have been getting so discouraged. No issues getting protein or water in. I consider myself very lucky with my recovery. I haven't had any issues eating anything but eggs- which I didn't really tolerate before surgery so no big loss. I'm excited for my journey and to meet all of you. Glad to have a support group. Sent from my SM-G998U using BariatricPal mobile app
