I am 2 weeks post op lapband to bypass conversion. I have experienced dumping about 5 times already and it’s just absolutely so horrible. I’m not drinking while I eat, I’m still on mushy foods. It’s happened to me from tuna fish, last night it was from half a protein shake. I thought it was supposed to be from having too much sugar or fatty foods. Has anyone experienced it this often even while eating what you’re supposed to be eating? It’s so disheartening and is making me regret this surgery so bad. And yes, I know this is a question for my doctor who I will be in touch with. Just looking for any personal experiences and if it got better

I get this hot feeling flash over me. I start breaking out in a sweat but freezing at the same time. Super lightheaded and nauseous. Until it ends about an hour later either by throwing up or diarrhea. It’s so horrible I don’t even know what to do with myself when it’s happening

Hi! I am having lapband to gastric bypass revision done this Thursday September 30. Anybody within a few days of that date? I need a surgery buddy! 🤗

Hi! Mine made me separate by a minimum of 6 months to give the scar tissue time to heal. He said the longer the better, but 6 months minimum. I’m having my new surgery done next week! I was upset about waiting too but it goes fast and in the bigger scheme of things a few months is nothing. I had to wait 3 months for insurance approval anyway, so it was only an extra 3 lol

I am on my fourth day and today has been the hardest so far!

They are doing both surgeries at same time? If anyone else had a band removal please reply too 🤗

Are they doing the band removal at the same time as the bypass? I had to have a lap band removed also but he had me do them separately and wait some time in between 🙄

Mine is sept 30 but most people in the sept thread have gotten their surgery already, so I needed a thread for upcoming surgeries. Good luck everyone!
