Hey Ladies~ Congratulations!! To those that have your approval ,from here on out should be smooth sailing:shades_smile:. And for those that are still fighting that gaint ( ins.co) keep praying & stay persistent.. I know before I received my approval (1 delay/denial) ..Remember, delay is not denial) I had to keep going back & forth between my doc. office & insurance because of negligence.. I called just about every other day finally, after alot of praying because when you see that people aren't giving thing the proper attention, it's challenging.. So, after everything that I went through to get approved it took literally 4 business days,1 doc visit and then I was set to have my surgery 1 1/2 weeks later.. June 17,2008 - Surgery July 2, 2008 - Post op down 15 pounds July 17, 2008- 1 month post op Short term goal- 50 lbs Oct 17th :Banane03: After 3 times being kicked out of the reply mode.. Hey Justicenyce, Well Congrats,on getting approved. That half of the battle won.. I went back to work in little over 3 weeks.. I don't do well with pain & I was bless to have that approved..If your a soldier then you will be fine... Wish you God's speed with your recovery.

Well Congrats LMarie_MD2b. Sounds like your doing wonderful with the banded:thumbup:.. I haven"t lost as much but I pleased with what has come off, of I'm looking forwarded to more coming off... When's your 1st fill? Aug 7th is mine...

Hi Shinnyoneday! I was banded on June 17th, Everything went really smooth. I didn't have that much pain coming out of surgery, but a few hours later the pain really hits your exspecially if your going to try walking right away like they want you to.. Just take it as slow as you can. After going home I was in pain from the gas that they put in during surgery :thumbup: that really stay with me for almost a week... The gas was worse than the pain of the incision( imagine that) After my 6th or 7th day I was ok :redface:. Around the 2nd week I felt like a new person. I lost about 10 lbs in that 1st week :thumbup: there after 6lbs over the next 2 weeks.(23 day post-op) Now it's kind of slowed down..My advice to you is, just make sure you follow the phrases as close as you can... And be patient the weight isn't going to come off as quick as we would like unfortunately But it does come off... That's the great thing:thumbup: . All together it's been a great experience for me. I'm really,really excited about the weight coming off.. My 1st fill is Aug. 7th. I pray that everything goes well with your journey to being shinny1day. Hey girl , I just got banded June 17th.. I was denied the first time for not being over weight enough so they say:cursing:... A year later got on the scale & said no they are going to approve me now ... It was a lot of praying & waiting.. I guess it wasn't the right time for me ... But stay on them & it will all work out.

Hello fellow bander. Just logged on for the 1st time & I saw that you were band a day after me( June 17th).. Congrats on your weight loss so far.Keep up the good work..

I was band June 17th. So, far everything is going great, I'm not restricted for the most part. It's pretty much mind over matter until you (we) get our bands filled.. And even then from the blogs I have read you don't get good restriction until 2-4 fills.
