  1. TrailsNurse, Trick I found was to mix my designer whey protein powder in sugar free pudding. It is a small amount and goes down smoothe. good luck!

  3. One Day at a time. My surgeon was JK Champion. Do you plan to go to the support group at Northside? I will be going in August. How are you doing with your food? I seem to be ok. The Realize website is really nice. I diary everything I eat. Did you doctor do the Realize band with you?

  6. Tkelsey, Hello and congrats on this big step. I was banded on July 1, 2008. I'm in my third week and eating softer food and staying under 1200 calories a day. My first band fill will be August 14. How you feeling? the gas pain can be terrible... oh and sneezing. Sneeze with your mouth open. I thought I popped my belly button. Hope to hear from you.   10. dolly lala, that is so cute. I asked my doctor that very question prior to my surgery. expect no low energy the first week. Second week, it is better. Try putting your protien powder in sugar free pudding cup. You will only feel like eating a couple of ounces the first two days. good luck
  11. Mrs jj, Started mushy food last week. today... I had one egg with two strips of turkey bacon. that was rocken good. funny how you take the simple foods for granted. have a lot of fun in Switzerland.
  12. Hi, I will be attending my first support group meeting Saturday July 12 at Northside hospital. Atlanta. Stephanie runs the group from Dr JK Champions office. time is 11-1 classroom B-980. I'm post op 11 days.

  15. Hi, My stomache did the same thing. I'm 11 days post op. this will pass. Sip on your water and rest awhile. then strole around the backyard and keep sipping you water bottle. have you tried the crystal light white grape ... yummy.

  17. that is so funny... I thought the same thing. That was all I wanted to drink while in the hospital. The day I was discharged the dietician came in an asked me what I was drinking. She GASPED! and said 'oh no that has to much sugar ... you can't drink that' She came back later and said my doctor allowed the regular apple juice and not to worry. I was not worried... it tasted so good.
  18. hello all, Just posting for the first time. My surgery was July 1 in Atlanta. Dr JK Champion is my surgeon. All in all everything is going well. Getting ready to go back to work next week. Welcome any suggestions. Look forward to talking with you.
