    July 2021 Surgery People!

My surgery was on July 19th. Like you, I struggled to drink water AND protein. The issue (I learned) is that your stomach is swollen. By the following week after surgery, I could do a little more than the week before. Hang in there as it does get a little easier week to week.

    July 2021 Surgery People!

The best advice that I can offer is to breathe and remember why you are having the procedure. I, too, freaked out a couple days before surgery. I thought to myself that if I am losing weight without having my anatomy altered, then why do it. Then I remembered that I also struggled for so long and give up when it seems as if the weight wasn’t dropping fast enough. I also remembered that I don’t want the diseases associated with obesity. Just remember your “Why”.

    July Surgeries??

My surgery was on July 19th. The procedure was smooth and only required one night in the hospital. The next day, I walked two laps around the wing and was home. I struggled with getting in water and protein in the beginning. Once I had a bowel movement, it has been easier. Good luck to you all.
