  1. Hello all- New to the group and I have a few questions I am hoping you can help with. I've had my band 5 years and I am having it removed due to erosion on Friday. I've been reading about swelling, etc. and I'm wondering what to expect. My doctors are in Mexico and there is a language barrier, plus they're just not very good with follow-up anyway. The band will be removed through endoscopy, not laproscopically. I'm wondering what my diet should be like for the first few days and if I should expect a lot of swelling- should I bring my elastic pants to fly back home in? Any advice or suggestions from people with experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
