My starting weight was 252, surgery weight was 243, and I’ve been stuck at 197 for a month almost. Honestly I’ve only lost 17 lbs in the past like 2 months. I’m 3 months post op and I’m so frustrated. I get about 90-115g of protein a day, my job is very active… I’m so frustrated. I’m starting to worry that this is all the weight I’ll lose. Does anyone have any advice? I’m so scared I’m doing something wrong or that my surgery is just failing.

I really, REALLY needed this. Thank you so much that was exactly what I needed to hear. It’s hard! I went in knowing it wouldn’t be easy, but I never pictured this hard. I Can’t wait to look back and think how worth it this is. Thank you so much again.

    Hi friends,
I know a lot of people have these feelings I’m feeling right now. 5 weeks po on tuesday and I’m just so depressed. Not because I miss food but because of the struggle of getting in food and water and vitamins all while I can barely hold an ounce of food in at a time. Some days I feel incredible. Then the next, nausea hits me like a bus. Yesterday I got 28 ounces of water in. Today I’m focusing on just liquids to rehydrate but I’m so depressed it just feels like a chore. I’m also terrified to start soft foods. I tried eggs recently and they messed me Up bad. Anything that’s not puree mostly makes me feel so ill. I hate to say it but at this stage I’m regretting what I’ve done to my body. I can’t get in my calories or exercise so I’m losing about a pound a week which I know shouldn’t be my stress right now. I need to focus on water and liquids but if I’m gonna be sick all the time I’d at least like to lose a little faster (kidding mostly lol) I just needed somewhere to vent. Did you have a hard time in the first few months? Please feel free to share your stories, advice, anything. Im desperate.

Tuesday I’ll be 1 month post op. I was doing so well my first week post op. Getting all my water and protein. Ever since week two days have been hit or miss. I keep water down but food makes me so nauseous. I don’t know what to do. Protein shakes, eggs, lactose… all makes me sick. I’ve thrown up multiple times a week lately. Today I woke up and felt so hungry but I couldn’t keep anything down. I feel like such a failure and so defeated. I regret doing this most days and I feel so alone.
