Do you have family in Florida. That is actually where my husband and I are from. So we go back every Thanksgiving to see everyone. CRAZY- I am 5'0" too, I weigh 199 lbs. I am going through insurance. I asked my insurance company if they had any requirements in order to have the surgery and they said no. So I am hoping he doesn't require me to do anything either.

I have had so many surgical procedures for my back, surgery does not scare me. I just had a procedure done every other week for 6 weeks and each time I was put under. I am more scared for my consultation and if he is going to make me complete any requirements prior to scheduling my surgery. I really want to get the surgery ASAP. I want to lose enough weight that I wont be embarrassed to go back to Florida for Thanksgiving. I want them to be shocked LOL Now who is dramatic LMAO

I can understand that, but just think of it as you are making sure you get healthy for their futures.

I use Rogain (for women) it's like mousse for your scalp. Honestly don't know if it actually works.

That is horrible??? My Pain Management Dr's office is just like that. I hate having to double check their work.

I have my consultation on 8/6 so I will be talking my surgeon but I think I am leaning toward the bypass because I have horrible reflux already.

UGH that will be tough. I have had 3 cervical surgeries all with fusions. I also have stenosis of the spine in several areas.

Fortunately none of my meds contain NSAIDS. After researching, I was leaning towards the Bypass due to my GERD. I was going to have my gastroenterologist speak with my surgeon if he needed to. And unfortunately I can't move towards PT or other forms of treatment. I do periodically get procedures done on my spine but I need the pain meds and nerve meds on a daily basis. I know there is a lot to cover with my surgeon, I was just curious if anyone had previous experience with these things

Hey Y'all - I have my consultation on August 6th and have a few questions before. Has anyone had experience with back injuries which require me to take pain medicine? And because I take medicine I have gastrointestinal problems. I have GERD, Gastroparesis, and Constipation and take different meds for each issue. I was wondering if any had any experience with any of these prescription and if so, how did it affect you? TIA Lauren

I am seeing Dr. Pilcher also. My consultation is August 6th. I can't wait. I am so scared he is going to say "No" Where is San Antonio do you live. I am up in Bulverde.
