  2. Are you having VSG or RNY? And how long are you taking FMLA for? My date is Sep 20 and i got my FMLA papers printed, ill take it to my surgeon on my last appt. Im having RNY, im thinking 4 weeks is ok? Ive been reading the threads here and im finding out the recovery is slow and consuming, i dont know what to decide. Ive never taken FMLA, lol
  3. i had the same feeling and spent a week depressed, i spoke to my dietician about it and she said, thats called "the last supper mentality" and we cant think like that cause itll birth depression after surgery. She said we (me and you and everyone who has this procedure ) will still be able to eat what we like, EXCEPT in smaller quantities. (to keep from gaining weight)

  6. wow!! thank you for being so detailed. My date is Sep 20, and im so scared of this pain you talked about. Im having Gastric Bypass. Also another thing that really concerns me, is; how much time did you take off work? Im going to submit FMLA paperwork but im guessing 4 weeks? I read all your pages and your recovery has been long, many surprises along the way, so im wondering if 4 weeks isnt enough? I work at home , but very long hours like 11hrs a day sedentary. Please keep updating, what vitamins are you taking?
  7. try https://www.drtohelp.com/ in 2018 i tried them, you get a video call from a nurse go over medical issues, and have to prove your blood pressure is under control, theyll explain how you prove it and they send the meds once dr approves them. Dr is in Cali
  8. Hello! I am pre-op, i am expecting my surgery date to be early September. I have seen many brands for vitamins and types of vitamins that are single dose vitamins that have all nutrients in one. And other vitamins where you have to buy mutiple types. Which is the better one? Is there a diff? Does the vitamin matter if you have VSG or Gastric Bypass? Im going with Gastric Bypass Thanx
  9. Today i got a call from my surgeons office. The girl is giving me a date for Aug 30 and i still have one more dietician appt left and a home sleep study left the first week of august and still need my primary drs blessing along with labwork im guessing? It was a voice mail, but i want to know what is the rush, it really caught me off guard, it scared me
  10. oh wow, you answered a question i am terrified to ask. You said you stopped half way cause it was too much! I feel that way!! The classes, the explanation of how i will feel afterwards, the constant need to keep up with meeting my protein goals, it scared me so much i was depressed and feeling like that again. I still want the surgery but i dont know what to do. I have my pulmonologist appt on the 12th and 3 more nutrionist appt. i am overwhelmed [emoji17]
