How low can you go in 09 weightloss challenge#1
My weigh in for the week is -3.5lbs. I did get my 2nd fill a week and a half ago plus I've had a sore throat for a week now....it hurts so bad to swallow...I've done my best to get around 900-1000 calories in and had lots of hot tea. The Dr said it's just a virus, hope it goes away soon I'm going to Denver today with a friend and picking up my daughter and we are going to have a girls day shopping and having fun. I can't remember the last time I did this. I'm so excited. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Keep up the good work!!! :cursing:

Our cruise
Sounds like you had a great time (except for the sad part). Not to scare you but please be aware and check your credit card statement thoroughly. I work in the fraud dept at a bank and so many people get their credit card numbers stolen while on cruises ...

YMCA personal Training
I recently joined the Y and at mine, if you join their "Commit to Be Fit" program you get 5 sessions free. The first is a fitness assessment and then each of the others is showing you the equipment and helping you work out a plan. I may see about getting some of the one on one training later but for now I'm happy with the free sessions.

You are doing and looking great Pete. Here are my 2 mth (almost 9 week) pics. I keep thinking I can't see much difference when I look in the mirror but putting these together I could really start to see it.

Got you updated on the spreadsheet. I lost another 1lb so I made my goal of 10lbs for the month. I will shoot for 10 again in Feb.

1st Fill
Had my 2nd fill today. I lost 6lbs in the 3 weeks since my last fill. I can definitely feel this one. I sipped the water in the office just fine but once I got out to the car and took a drink from my water bottle, I could feel that one. Not painful but uncomfortable. I'm having cream of chicken soup for dinner and maybe a protein shake later if needed. I go back in 3 more weeks. Oh, he put 1.5cc so I have a total of 3.5cc now. He had a little more trouble finding the port this time but it still didn't hurt. I'm right on target with my losses but I've been hungrier so we went ahead with the fill.

How low can you go in 09 weightloss challenge#1
I am down 3 pounds this week. I've worked hard at tracking my food daily and it helps me be aware of what goes in the mouth. I also joined the Y and my goal is to get into the habit of walking a min of 3 x a week. Keep up the good work everyone!

How did you "move" today?
I decided to go check out the YMCA, they have much more to offer than curves and when my hubby gets back he'll get a free membership and I'll get a discount off my monthly fee everytime he goes so I went ahead and joined. I walked/jogged 20 min yesterday. Today I just did a fitness assessment with a trainer. There is a program called "Commit to be fit" and you get 5 free training sessions with a fitness assessment. I had to go and get a release from my Dr to participate because of high blood pressure. I am pretty out of shape but not quite as bad as I expected. I did 18 situps in 1 minute, 9 bench presses with a 35lb bar and my flexibility reach was better than the skinny little thing helping me. I could reach 11.5" on their measuring box and she could only go 7". I didn't do the step test since my pulse was already a little high from rushing to get there after work. She took my blood pressure and it was extremely low for me, after I got a lecture on Tues from my Dr for not taking my second HBP med cuz it was a bit high on Tues. I don't know if I trust her monitor. I'll have to dig mine out and if it's low still, maybe I only need 1/2 a pill. I plan on checking out the Pilates class next week, I've never done it.

How did you "move" today?
I went to Curves, I did one round learning all the machines and then did one round on my own. I'll go back a couple more times next week and see how I like it.

Thanks for your message V-Queen....I know 1-2 pounds a week is what we shoot for, I'm just sad I'm out of the "honeymoon" phase, that's all. Now I'm buckling down to get the exercise integrated into my routine as well. Everyone keep up the good work....

What did you eat today!!
I've been averaging between 1000-1200 cal a day, yesterday was not so good 1658 : ( I feel like I won't have lost anything this week but I'll wait and see tomorrow when I weigh.

How did you "move" today?
I called and set up my first appointment to visit Curves tomorrow. There is one very close to my house and if I like it, I'll start taking my workout clothes with me and swinging by for a workout on my way home from work.

What did you eat today!!
B: atkins shake S: 1/2 tangerine, 6 oz plain yogurt with 1 pkt splenda L: 3 oz pork roast S: 2 oz pork roast, 4 oz diced carrots Isopure grape Protein drink S: 9 tortilla chips with salsa verde 4 saltines, horseradish hummus 1 slice velvetta D: 1/2 frozen spinach quiche hot chocolate made with Bellagio sipping chocolate and 2% milk It looks like a lot but I put it in the daily plate and it was only 1140 calories and a whopping 107g of protein. A little more than I have been eating but I was so hungry today. Back on track tomorrow.

OMG I got "stuck"
I did it today. I had some leftover pork roast (went down ok for dinner last night) and guess I went a bite or two too much and PB'd. Thank goodness that once I got 2-3 bites back up, the pain went away. Whew! Need to pay better attention.

Is anyone Constipated after starting solids?
OH YES, I am having this problem .... I've tried some MOM (milk of magnesia) and it seems to work well. I've been eating more eggs instead of my oatmeal in the morning, maybe I should go back to more oatmeal? I do have some of those high fiber water packets (like crystal light) but I've read somewhere that's not the type of fiber we need, we need insoluble fiber like bran or oatmeal, etc.

Non-Scale Victories Thread
Hey V-Queen, what kind of bike do you have? My hubby has a Fat Boy, he always wants to go on these long rides and I can't take being on the back for more than about 30 miles or so. We rode up to Denver last year and I thought I was going to die before we made it (about 75 miles). I look forward to being able to ride with him now and fit on the seat...I made him get a detachable sissy bar cuz I always feel like I'm going to slide off the back.

Non-Scale Victories Thread
I totally agree Pete, it's nice to see the scale go down but falling off clothes and people noticing are such a boost and motivation. I have almost a box full clothes now and I can walk up stairs without being completely out of breath, I'm noticing my face looks thinner and parts are starting to get droopy : ( I keep DH posted on my progress and he tells me everyday how proud he is and what a good job I'm doing.
