  1. I'm feeling so down right now. I had done so good. My band was June 24, 2008. I just had my first fill, and I've lost 33 pounds since pre-op, but now, I'm starting to forget to eat protein, and I've had a few chocolate bars today. I'm starting to feel the same way I felt before the surgery, always looking for something to eat. Please, someone, give me some advice. Has anybody felt this way? Has anyone fallen off the wagon? Can you fall off the wagon with this?
  2. I had my first fill last monday, and to be honest, I had more restriction before I had the fill than after. My doctor said that it was due to the fact that I was still in the healing process and the swelling was my restriction. But as far as not having restriction, and then without having a fill, having restriction, I don't know. It sounds like you should see your doctor. I don't think that it's anything to worry about, though, because they told me that if I stayed hungry or gained weight, that the band may have slipped, but that is not the case with you, so I don't know.
  3. My skin doesn't tan fast, so I use spray tan, and it looks really good. As long as my legs are tanned, I feel like they are firmer.
  4. I had my first fill on Monday, 7-28-08. It hurt when the needle was in and the doctor was filling it, but after that, she said stay on a liquid diet for the rest of that day and the next. I stayed on the liquid diet all that day, but the next, I was so hungry, so I went on soft food, and did fine. To be honest, I couldn't tell the difference. The next day after that, I called my doctor because I couldn't feel any restriction. They had put 2 cc in the first fill and have me scheduled for a second on the 25th of this month. I'm still losing though. Since I went on my liquid diet 2 weeks before the surgery, 6-10-08, I've lost 31 pounds, so I really can't complain.
  5. I stumbled onto this website by looking up info on smoking after the lapband. I am happy to say that I have been smoke free since my doctor told me to many months ago, but the craving is always there. Especially now that I can not eat anything, and I am so hungry. My banding was 7/24/08, last week. My BMI was 40 before the surgery date was made, but after being on the liquid diet 2 weeks before and now, I've lost 21 pounds. That will really get the weight off you, but it doesnt feel that healthy. Last week, being sore and such, I could bearly get 200 calories a day. Now that I've graduated to a step higher, I can now get my calories I need from slimfast. Take just one day at a time is what I was told.
