  1. Hello Avon Hang in there. You are probably right about the kids being off school and adding extra stress to the situation but you make sure you sit them down and tell them that Mom really needs them to support you during this. Its OK to retreat to your room for a break every now and then. Do things to pamper yourself. Bubble bath, pedicures are geat too... Take care
  2. Hello I am so glad I just signed on to read your comments about emotions. I was just banded on 6-30 so I am 3 days out and a total wreck. Totally not like me at all. I am the most optomistic upbeat person you would ever want to meet. I have never had children so this post surgery blues is all new to me. Thanks everyone for sharing all of this with me...I was aware of possible depression but I did not expect it this soon after surgery. I am going to be optimistic and hope it passes by the end of the week....
  3. My surgery was actually done in Northern Ky by Dr. Thomas Sonnastien with the Tri-State Surgical Weight Loss Center at St. Luke. Very very impressed with the overall experience.
  4. Hello Just got home from the hospital today. Banded on 6-30-2008. I guess I am not feeling too terribly bad as I am able to sit at the computer and type. I would just describe it as discomfort and hoping it does not last too long. Hard part so far is consuming the 4 0z of liquid every 2-3 hours. I just feel really bloated and kind of disappointed when I stepped on the scale after returning home to see I had a gain of about 6 lbs... Please someone tell me that is just GAS. I am really excited about the changes that are about to take place so I will be checking in daily in order to gain a better understanding of what I am feeling. Thanks everyone for being there for me.. Mygoal is 150 lbs to loose in 18 months...If I say it everyday it will happen...
