5 weeks post-op slow weight loss

Same with me! I have been small my whole life. Around 125 to 140 in that range up and down. I would usually gain a lot of weight with each child and then I would lose it pretty easily with some effort of course. Well, I had a hysterectomy and ever since then I gained over 100 pounds! I tried everything to get it off and it did not work. This time the Weight would not budge no matter what I did.So when I heard about surgery I was so excited! I started at 256. I am five weeks out now I am 227 I have only lost 20 pounds in a little over a month. It makes me sad because I have been doing everything right. I lost about 10 pounds on the liquid diet before surgery but since surgery only about 20 pounds. I have been stalled since the second week. I sure hope it gets better because this is depressing.

How long do stalls usually last!

Hi So, two weeks postop, at my two week postop appointment I have completely stalled. I just hit five weeks today. I am not sure what I’m doing wrong I do not consume that many calories.I haven’t been able to walk the last week and a half because I live in Washington state and it’s been 110 to 115 all day long and even in the night time it’s still almost 100, just way too hot.. I’m starting to feel really hopeless. I’m not sure what to do, so I understand how you’re feeling.

    May Surgeries - check in!

That’s my day as well! Except I’m getting the actual gastric bypass. I’m pretty nervous are you? I haven’t lost much weight on the liquid diet yet. And I haven’t cheated, in fact I’ve done nothing but drink those shakes, 4 a day sometimes 5.

    May Surgery?!

Hey all, My date is coming up here soon at the end of May. But I’m wondering, I was told I had to get a CPap By one of the ladies that worked at the hospital and be on it for six weeks before surgery. But then another lady from the hospital called and scheduled me for surgery. I don’t have a CPAP, my insurance wouldn’t approve it and the Doctor Who originally wrote the order was too lazy to fix the mistake. So I’m curious will they really turn me away on my surgery day just because I don’t have a CPAP? Really I never needed one in the first place. Have any of you heard of someone being turned away because they don’t have a CPAP with them?
