  1. Hey everyone! How's it going for everybody during currently? We're nearing 6 month for many of us, hows the experience been so far?
  2. Hey guys, My surgery date was on April 22 and started pre op diet on the 8th. I'm down 94lbs and couldnt be happier! I've experienced a stall week here and there, but trust the process! There's pretty much nothing I can't eat (except for large quantities of course) and go to the gym regularly 3-4 times a week to do cardio and weight lifting. Definitely need to continue working on my water and protein intake as I believe I may not be taking enough of either. I was an avid gym goer prior to surgery and despite the fluff, could tell muscle mass came easier prior to surgery (reduced calorie/protein intake) I may start suppleming with protein shake again to see if I notice a difference. I've been taking PatchAid multivitamin patches since pretty much the beginning. I've felt great so far and haven't experienced any ill/deficiency feeling/fatigue from it. My first post op isn't until 6months out, so in 2 months or so I'll finally see what my labs come out like. My next immediate goal is to breach the 100lb weight loss and and to increase water/protein to hopefully see improved gym gains. Feel free to ask me questions and I'll see if I can help in any way, let's keep going everyone! Attached are some before and afters and yeah it's the same shirt +-94lbs
  3. I don't go daily either, usually 2-3 days Between, not much food going into us, so I suspect it's normal. I have added fiber occasionally like 2-3 times a week, but have not needed any laxatives or supplements. I did start using JuiceFestiv to increase my daily fruit/veggie intake, which has Enzymes and a bit of fiber, so maybes that's helping a bit too.
  4. I've noticed stomach grumbling while eating, stomach grumbling before and after eating, before this was "hunger" to me. But now I haven't felt hunger, because the grumbling just seems normal now. I guess maybe I had "head hunger" before and the pre op diet and limited choices since have eliminated. Here's hoping it stays that way lol
  5. Those of you that are feeling hunger, did you feel hunger at first after surgery, or did you slowly gain your hunger? I'm 4 weeks out and still don't feel any hunger, would be nice if it stayed like that lol.
  6. It's amazing, I used to go ~5 days a week, but now going every other day to start! Can definitely see the difference in the scale on the gym going days!
  7. I was cleared at 3 weeks for lifting, 6 weeks before any ab workouts though.
  8. I was a frequent gym goer prior to surgery, so I'm just doing what I did before with lower weight. I typically start with 1 hour of cardio on the elliptical, then progress to weight lifting. Bench Press, Bicep Curl, Tricep Extension, Shoulder Press, Lat Pulldown, Back Extension. The only thing I still haven't added back is any AB specific workout.
  9. Glad to hear it's nothing serious. I started taking a fiber supplement (Metamucil) once a day to help with the BM, it helps greatly, especially at first when protein is pretty much all we're eating.
  10. Definitely call your surgeon if it's gotten worse. Personally I haven't had any pain at all, but worsening pain is a concern.
  11. I will, doctor said based on how incisions are coming along I should be fine. Of course won't start doing anything core/abs until at least 2+ more weeks
  12. Just following up, tomorrow marks 2 weeks since surgery and I've lost 21.6lbs so far. I can start soft foods tomorrow (yayy done with liquid!) And I'm cleared for gym and exercise starting Saturday.
  13. How much walking exercise is everyone doing? Anyone been cleared for gym yet?
  14. Hi y'all I'm 11 days post op, and nearing the two mark to start solid foods! I've lost 18lbs so far and loving it. Questions for you all, I never had any pain at all, or nausea, to the point that I wondered if they cut me open at all (despite the very obvious incisions). I also had no problem drinking water or any liquid so far, including creamy soup. I've had some BM issues and have introduced a daily serving of metamucil and it has helped. Do a double scoop after a particularly troublesome BM I go on hourly 5-10 walks throughout work. My incisions themselves are mostly gone, just scabs that are starting to peel off and fall. I don't get hungry anymore either, after drinking something I get a stomach rumbling, similar to when I used to be hungry before, but without the sensation of hunger. I've been taking my chewable vitamins everyday but just recently ordered the Patchaid patches and can't wait to try them!
  15. I had mine on 4/22, and was up and walking within an hour. Didnt take first BM until 4/25 though and it was fine. I had been taking a fiber supplement since week before surgery, because the protein diet did cause some BM isssues and didnt want that coming up again post surgery.
