  1. Is anyone here in the San Antonio area & going through the Methodist Metropolitan Weight Loss Center??? My Dr is leaving at the end of June & IDK what to do. I am hoping to be scheduled for my Gastric Sleeve by June 22nd ish. Do I change Doctors so I have the same one through Post Op etc...? Or keep the one I currently have??
  2. My breaking point was just a few weeks before my 46th birthday this year, I had emergency gallbladder removal surgery & 2 weeks later I found out from my surgeon that I have an overly fatty liver & am in the 50% obese category. I got a start on my 3 month process that my INS requires & have my sleep study & One more dietitian appointment before scheduling surgery. I'm nervous & excited.
  3. Thank You. Any information I can get to prepare is always appreciated.
  4. Thank You. Any information I can get to prepare is always appreciated. I used to be on the Herbalife shakes etc but it got way to expensive. And it didn't help as much as I had hoped.
  5. I had emergency gallbladder surgery about a month ago. I found out I had a BMI of over 50, & a fatty liver. My gallbladder surgeon highly recommends gastric sleeve surgery. He does bariatric surgeries as well as general. Yay me... I have begun my journey; I had my 1st dietitian appointment, done my upper GI scope, have a cardiologist appointment this week & a follow up to the upper GI this week. I am waiting to find out about the sleep study and have 2-3 more appointments with the dietitian before surgery... Was wondering what the best pre & post Op protein shakes are best as well as liquid & chewable vitamins are recommended.....
