Reddpanda reacted to GreenTealael in Food Before and After PhotosDate night! I chose Katz’s Deli to give my BF a sampling of a NYC landmark. Tuna salad half sandwich, potato knish, split pea soup and pickles (I had the soup) I think he liked it. ?

Reddpanda reacted to NovaLuna in What is your height, pre surgery weight and your 6 month post op weight? When I STARTED the process for WLS I was 389 pounds (in 2019). My highest recorded weight ever was 392 pounds (in 2017). My weight on the day of surgery was 321 pounds. At 6 months post-op I was 237 pounds. I reached my goal weight at 18 months 1 day post op and I'm down an extra two pounds passed that so far. I started having stalls 3 months post op and have had them every single month since. I'm currently in one right now, as a matter of fact lol (17 day stall so far).

Reddpanda reacted to GB in CA in My mommy makeoverI have been waiting 3 years to post this. Today I had my mommy makeover! Breast augmentation and lift, and a fleur-de-lis tummy tuck.

Reddpanda reacted to catwoman7 in Tummy Tucka lot of plastic surgeons recommend that you be at a stable weight for 6-12 months before getting plastic surgery - but not all do. I think it's a good idea, though, since many of us have a 10-20 lb bounce back after hitting our lowest weight.

Reddpanda reacted to GradyCat in Weight regain...I don't know where to start.I can totally relate. I'm 2 years post sleeve and gained 10 lbs back with COVID and am working now on getting it back off. It's working! I can tell you that it's possible. I am eating like I did at the beginning with focus on protein of 60 g or more per day, getting in my 8-10 glasses of water a day, limiting carbs to fewer than 10 g per day. I haven't exercised yet. I've been back on the "reboot" for 2 weeks and lost 4 lbs so that's encouraging. My stomach hasn't stretched because I can still eat very little during a meal, so that's good news. My downfall was eating sweets all the time. I'm not doing that now. I think you can do it if you just remember why you had WLS in the first place and focus on the basics. Good luck!

Reddpanda reacted to kellym1220 in Weight regain...I don't know where to start.I was on a call with my nutritionist tonight and someone else on my call asked about it and she said that anyone in this situation should do a 10 day liquid diet re-boot. I've seen several on this site, but since my nutritionist recommended it, it's what I would try.

WHEN POOP HAPPENS STALL BREAKS LOL

Reddpanda reacted to JDLane in May Surgeries - check in!Here is a random day in my log:
Breakfast: 1/2 a scrambled egg, 1 turkey sausage link, 1/4 biscuit
snack: premier shake
lunch: 1/2 seared tuna salad
snack: coffee with milk, a bite of a donut
dinner: 2-3 oz grilled chicken with grilled veg
1/2 ear corn on cob
so this totaled 633 calories, 69g protein, 37g net carb and I had about 64oz water. And honestly I probably ate another snack after dinner that I forgot to log so it may have been closer to 800 calories.
I always have 1 protein shake a day and that's half my protein needs so it's easier to get the other 30g through food. My hunger levels vary so some days I may only eat 600 calories and some days it's over 1000.

Reddpanda reacted to Recidivist in CoffeeI waited about six months and then started drinking regular coffee. My morning cup (with skim milk and Splenda) has become one of my great joys!

Reddpanda reacted to StartingMYjourney2021 in 3 Month UpdateHi I am 3 months post op, and I have lost 36lbs. I started at 245. I’ve been feeling discouraged with the weight loss after I had one month stall, but it’s started coming off again.
I run 30 Min four to five times a week. I eat 1000 calories daily. Protein intake is 70-80 grams daily.
I hope things work out for us ladies and maybe it’s just a waiting game now :) we didn’t put the weight on over night :) -
Reddpanda reacted to learn2cook in 6 month surgiversary - time to shareThanks so much for sharing! You look younger and happier. -
Reddpanda reacted to Muskellonge in Weight loss stallThis is your first stall, possibly first of many. No worries. I found drinking my protein helps while also adding to my hydration needs (I like Premier shakes). My struggle still (8 months out) is staying hydrated which is key to weight loss and good health. Keep going!

Reddpanda reacted to catwoman7 in Weight loss stall1) unless you're the size of someone on "My 600 lb Life", your weight loss so far is very normal. Most of us lose 15-25 lbs in the first month after surgery. Yes - you will find people who lose more or less than that, but they're the exception. You're in that range, so you're perfectly normal!
2) you're in the infamous "three-week stall". Almost all of us go through that. It's not ALWAYS the third week, but it is for most (hence the name) - but it can really happen any time within the first 4-6 weeks after surgery. Just stick to your program and stay off the scale if you need to. It'll last 1-3 weeks, and then you'll be on your way again. If you want to read more about it, do a search on this site for the three week stall. You will find about 17,000 posts on it (and no, I am NOT kidding...). It literally does happen to almost everyone. No changes necessary - just stick to your program and wait it out. It WILL break.
oh - just re-read your post. Thirty grams of protein is too low. Most surgeons recommend at least 60. So THAT is a change you should make. Otherwise, you're good. Just hang tight!

Reddpanda reacted to Jaelzion in Tummy Tuck...coming soon to a tummy near you!I'm closing in my surgery date for my tummy tuck. I've had all the pre-op work-up and it appears I have a green light! I'm nervous, excited, scared, and happy all at the same time!

Reddpanda reacted to MistySkye in May Surgeries - check in!I'm down 30 since end of May. Started regular vitamins (not chewable) today, those things are huge! (Bariatric Advantage) Got them down, but definitely felt it.
No food issues, still "full" after 3-4 oz. Have not incorporated grains yet, as I still can't eat all my vegetable portion. Full after the protein. I really have to watch myself to make sure I don't eat too fast, especially with snacks.

Reddpanda got a reaction from ChunkyCali in May Surgeries - check in!Hi everyone, I had my surgery on 5/18 and after working through some adjustments, I’m very happy to see the weight coming off. Not as fast as the first month, but glad it’s still moving in the right direction. HW 289 SW 260 CW 225

Reddpanda got a reaction from JaysWife in Did I really do the right thing??Same thing happened to me…no energy for the first 5 weeks. The first thing they said to me was, move around and get out of bed. Easier said than done but keep positive! It gets better. -

Reddpanda got a reaction from GreenTealael in Weight loss medication post wlsWhat are your thoughts about using a prescription strength appetite suppressant after weight loss surgery? I had my surgery in May of this year and I absolutely do not want to gain any weight back now or after reaching my goal. But…I love food, love to eat and still graze with now smaller, healthier portions.
Please let me know what do you think? Or can anyone relate?
