  1. Hi all, I'm 9 months post op and in the past two months I did not lose one pound. I eat a little bit more than before, but my eating habits are very good. I lost 65 pounds in total (I'm at 165 now) but would love to go down to 130lbs at least. Is the weight loss done for me? I'm wondering if there was no more weight loss for any one of you after less than a year. I just want to mentally prepare myself if 160-165 is the lowest I will get
  2. Hi loves, It's been three weeks since my gastric sleeve surgery. Overall I'm feeling fine, but I'm starting to feel weaker as the days go by. It's really difficult for me to get all the water down (there are days where I can't do more than just 32oz). Eating pureed food doesn't hurt me, but the acid reflux I get after is terrible. Today I woke up almost crying, that's how bad it was. I took some medication and of course it went down, but I don't want to take that medication forever?? How far apart are your meals? I'm fine with eating pureed chicken and some broth, but anything else is quite difficult. Most of the protein I'm getting is from whey powders (I found that 60g with a cup of broth doesn't taste bad). Thank you all!
  3. Hi and sorry for the late reply! I'm 9 months post op now and I don't get acid reflux anymore. Don't get me wrong, if I drink together and eat something heavy I'll feel uncomfortable but it's not acid. I still don't really eat spicy foods since whenever I do try a bite I might get a tiny bit of the acid back.
  4. Hi guys, I had my surgery March 17th, so I’m at the 5 weeks mark. I lost 22 pounds total, but in the three weeks alone I lost 6 pounds only. Is this normal? I’m not drinking or eating my calories, my food is completely on point and I’m beginning to worry. Last two weeks I lost only 2.5 pounds.
  5. Hi all, while my surgery went great I don't really have much contact with my doctor so I have to ask all of you kind people here I had my surgery on 3/17 and started off at around 225-230. Right now I'm at 191 lbs - is this normal? I monitor my weight loss and between May 2 and June 2 (full month) I lost 9.2 lbs. I would love to reach 120lbs one day, do you think this is possible? Based on information I found online (such as gastric sleeve calculators) my goal weight seems almost impossible! What are your thoughts? Thank you all for answers in advance! ❤️

Is my weight loss okay or slow?

Thanks love! I am very strict with my diet, but unfortunately due to the nature of my job and a lack of time I haven't been able to get much exercise in I hope that changes by the end of this month!

5 weeks post-op slow weight loss

We really do have the same stats lol. I'm just worried that I'll lose a certain amount of weight, but not as much as I want to. I know it sounds childish, but I won't be 100% satisfied if, let's say, I get to 160lbs and won't go down from that. 140lb is like a minimum weight loss achievement for me.

5 weeks post-op slow weight loss

Guys you just made me feel so much better, THANK YOU! My starting weight was around 230lbs, and it feels great to lose 22 pounds, but it just made me wonder if I'll ever be able to get to 130lbs - 120lbs. Thanks a lot to all of you again, this community is awesome ❤️

Post-op Portions help (1 month out)

Wow I'm three weeks post-op and I can't even get to 500 kcal per day. It's really difficult and I feel like anything other than chicken pureed with broth, greek yogurt and protein shakes gives me acid reflux

    Failing miserably

Something my doctor has said to me repeatedly - if you need help, ask for it. Don't do it alone. In the clinic I had my surgery, we had a therapy session with a psychologist who begged us to ask for help when it's needed. You're losing weight which is wonderful, but if you feel like something isn't right - ask for help. You've came so far it would be silly to let it go and not continue on your wonderful journey. You can do it, I can do it. Ups and downs, through it all, know that you are on a journey to a better life and better health. Sending hugs and love ❤️
  12. Girl you just said exactly what I discovered a few days ago (I'm 3 weeks post-op). I'm not hungry, but sometimes I just CRAVE and I stopped myself several times - but why? It's usually the same thing for me as for you, meetings that go the way I planned, missed deadline, overall anxiety.
  13. Very excited for you! I'm three weeks post-op and found that liquid vitamins work much better for me than chewables (aside from b12, that chewable is fine). I actually regret not taking a small "neck" pillow. The pillows they had at the hospital I went to weren't all that, so I was putting rolls of clothing under my neck to make myself feel more comfortable. As per all the other stuff, I didn't even brush my teeth for the first two days because I had no energy 🤣 Drinking water will be hard. I'm sure you've read this already but sip, sip sip and sip again. You'll feel annoyed you have to take a sip all the time (at least I did), but it really helps. Good luck! ❤️
  14. Thanks a lot! ❤️ I am very strict with my vitamins, that's the only thing I can keep up with for now. Didn't think of drinking electrolytes though, this definitely might help. When it comes to acid reflux medication, I'm okay with taking it and it helps a lot, I just hope it's not some medication I'll have to live on for the rest of my life
  15. My doctor is like six hours away from me so I doubt that's possible But the more I read the more I realize it might be because I'm not drinking enough water. This is tough lol!
