A stitch is like a crampy spasm that runs down your side. I used to get them when I ran (well that jogging thing I used to pretend to do). Best way to alleviate them is to stretch the muscle (raise the arm on the stitch side, stretch it out) & breathe slowly & deeply into the stretch.
Wouldn't be surgical gas pain this far out from your surgery @lottie2021 but you could have excess digestive gas. When I had a abdominal scan at 9 months out I was apparently full of digestive gas though I wasn’t at all windy or bloated so ??‍♀️. Maybe try some gas-X or similar - won’t hurt.
Some surgeons use a long tethering stitch so it could be that pulling a bit as it’s dissolving.
Guve your medical team a call to be sure.

Hi, I have hypothyroid too. I got gastric bypass done in 23 rd Dec 2020 and in 6 weeks have lost only 13lbs. Is there anyone else who has lost such less amount of weight. It’s really bugging me.

Hi @Castrad01 - I wait an hour typically because I used to have a morning coffee and unfortunately just sips will cause interference with synthroid effectiveness. I am no longer drinking coffee (to ward off the side effects before surgery), but I have also have heard that you have to wait at least an hour before eating as well.
With waiting the 4 hours after taking your thyroid meds - you have enough time to get all your vitamins/supplements in during the day?

I have the same question actually I heard calcium and iron are both blockers. So I need to ask on my first appointment back in a couple weeks. I'll let you know what my physician says since my appointment is on the 15th.

So I’ve anticipated getting sick of the liquid diet and I also want to get more veggies in so I bought a juicer! I made celery juice to try it today and it wasn’t too bad. It might be something to look into - celery juice is super healing and something different. My primary care doc highly recommended celery and cucumber juices. I’m going to add unflavored protein powder (collagen peptides from orgain)
