  1. I am over the moon with excitement. I had my consult with Dr. Kirshenbaum today. I loved him. He is caring, compassionate, he listened, he answered every question, and he has a clause on one of his forms that includes the phrase "french fry lady". LMAO So, I am all set to go. I just have to put the final touches on the financing and buy plane tickets. I can't believe this is going to happen!! OMG!!! Okay, I will settle down.
  2. Thank you so much. I don't know what I would do without all of you!:cool2:
  3. Hi everyone! I have my consult with Dr. K tomorrow and I forgot to ask Natalie a very important question. Do I call their office or will they call me at the time the consult is set up for. I feel like a dolt for not thinking of this earlier. Thanks!!
  4. What a busy day! Thank goodness you got to take a nap!!
  5. What is the one thing that you absolutely want to do after you lose all the weight. I don't mean things like keep up with kids, shop at any store, but things that you never, ever, ever thought you would be able to do. My one thing is SCUBA dive. As soon as I lose my 127 pounds I am going to get SCUBA certified. I have always wanted to do this but knew there was no way I could ever get in a wetsuit. Plus, being this chubby I don't think I could sink enough to go all the way under the Water. LOL
  6. Thanks everyone!
  7. Thanks girlie! I have a list of about 100 things. LOL I think we are all going to be so happy with our new lives. It is going to be incredible.
  8. Congrats!!! It will be here before you know it!
  9. My surgery is Sept. 24th!!!:thumbup:
  10. That is such a great idea!! I am sure my Piggies (that is what I call my two dogs LOL) would love me even more. Thanks for the tip!
  11. I don't have my consult until August 5th. Trust me whatever Dr. K says I will do. I have waited way too long for this! September just needs to get here already!
  12. What is a 5-day pouch test? GOOD LUCK!!!! You are my thoughts!! You can do this!!!!:thumbup:
  13. I am a cake decorator and baker. So, for the past few weeks I have been baking out of control. Not only stuff for orders but stuff I know I can't eat after the surgery. Like today, I put together some Dulce de Leche cookie bars for my husband. I had to taste one. LOL It's weird. Before I decided on surgery I never ate the sweet stuff. I think being around it so much kind of turned me off from it. I have also been cooking non-stop too. I am a bit of a foodie. Tomorrow I am making tamales. I have never made them before (I can't find them anywhere up here in Vancouver, WA) but I want to have some before the surgery. Is anyone else doing this? It's like I want to taste everything now before I can't have it. While I know most of this stuff I could eat with the band it is stuff that I won't eat with the band. What is the point of having the surgery if I am not going to change, ya know. What is the one thing you want to eat before your surgery?
  14. How is it going after your fill? Does your procedure area still hurt?
  15. My name is Michelle. I am 38 years old, married to a wonderful man named Sean, and we have a beautiful (although ornery ) 3 year old daughter named Agnes. I am looking forward to: 1. Being a better mother for Agnes. 2. Being able to see my c-section scar without having to lift up 25 pounds of flab. 3. Seeing my feet! I love shoes so I can't wait until I can really see them! 4. Not being paranoid about flying because the seatbelt may not fit. It has happened 3 times and I have never asked for an extender. I just can't do it. 5. Being a better wife for Sean. 6. Buying clothes in any store I want! Even if it is just Target. I don't care I don't want to have to walk into a plus-size store ever again. 7. Not being referred to as plus-size. 8. Not being the fat friend. 9. Not having "such a beautiful face". Ugh, I hate that compliment. 10. Being able to go diving or snorkeling and being able to get back in the boat without looking like a walrus trying to climb in a boat. 11. To live my life to the fullest! There is way too much I have been missing out on. I am sick of being paranoid because of my fat. I just want to live.
  16. I have told 4 people. My husband, mom, and two friends who I know can keep a secret. I am too embarrassed that I got this fat that I have to have surgery. I wasn't even going to tell my mom but I am flying back to Denver to have my surgery. I needed rides and I want to stay at her house so I figured she should probably know. LOL She was a lot more supportive than I thought she would be. When I lose my 100+ pounds then I will tell people. Until then they can just wonder how I am losing.
  17. Dee, I hope you have a wonderful birthday!:mad2:
  18. How are all of you who were banded since I last posted? I hope you are all doing well! Moe, be sure to let us know how it goes. I will be thinking of you. Just think you are almost to the start of your new life!! I am doing this for my 3 year old daughter as well. I want to be around a long time for her. You know, just so I can annoy her when she is a teenager and all that fun. LOL:biggrin:
  19. Woo-hoo!! Thanks for the siggie! It is so cool! All the other months are going to be so jealous. LOL
  20. I love the siggie too! I am proud to be one of you!! I believe we are going to be the best month ever!!!
  21. Wow! I had no idea there were chewable birth control pills. That is just crazy! adorKable ~ Sophie is so cute. She is so lucky to have you for a mommy. ~Michelle
  22. Thanks! Congrats to you too!! I think September is going to be a brilliant month!! Are you nervous or are you ready to get it over with? It took me so long to get to this point but I am starting to get really nervous about the surgery. ~Michelle
  23. Hi Everyone!! I'm Michelle and I am getting banded on Sept. 24th. Woo-hoo!! I live in Vancouver, WA with my husband Sean and 3 year old daughter Agnes. I am getting banded in Denver by Dr. Kirschenbaum. The silly thing is I just moved from Denver to the Pacific NW in Dec. Had I only know about him before. I look forward to getting to know all of you. Michelle
  24. I had to vote for September & the Banshees. I am so stuck in the 80's!! Although, the September Slutpuppies made me laugh my butt off!
  25. Thanks for all the reassurance and support. Thanks for letting me freak out too!
