Feeling down
Wow! You have lost 116 lbs and improved your overall health dramatically! Think about all the things you are able to do now, that you were unable to do 116 lbs ago and build on that! You got this and sounds like you have a great doctor who is encouraging and supportive. Celebrate you on this incredible accomplishment! ?

- Update On Me (Surgery: 5/19/21)
- What is your 1st major milestone?
My next major milestone is all about vanity...I have a pair of size 4 Abercrombie and Fitch jeans I have had since the 90's...my favorite pair of jeans ever...never could get rid of them! Hoping I will be able to wear in the next few months. ?- What is your 1st major milestone?
That's great! It is a bit surreal at times...But in a good way!- What is your 1st major milestone?
Awesome!! I bet you feel wonderful!- What is your 1st major milestone?
Finally reached my next major milestone...hit 150lbs, then dropped 1lb, and now 149lbs. I cannot remember the last time I was in the 140lbs. Maybe early 20's? I feel so energized and hopeful that my body will be stronger than ever to sustain me later in life because of this surgery! It's hard, no doubt, and at times, has been a bit overwhelming. But at the end of the day, all worth it! ?- Does it ever get better ?
Hang in there! It does get better. For some, including myself, it takes a bit longer to adjust to eating solid foods. I still eat mostly soft foods and I am 3months out...but I was able to eat salad for the first time this week. Chicken is still a no go for me, I can do over easy eggs, but not scrambled and absolutely no bread. It is an adjustment but well worth these few months of struggling with figuring out what you are able to eat. You got this!!- Well, here we go again
Good Luck to you on your renewed journey!- 6 month surgiversary - time to share
You look years younger! Thank you so much for sharing! Congrats!- Up and moving
My doctor had me up and walking a couple of hours after surgery. I continued to do laps on my hospital floor throughout the night when I would wake up until discharge the next day. At home, I did the same. My gas pain was gone within a few days and I think it had to do with all the walking. Good Luck!- Reached my target weight today [emoji3][emoji3]
Congratulations! You look amazing!!- Insurance Through Postop
Congratulations!! You look amazing!!- 3 and a half weeks post op
I put lemon juice concentrate in my water. That has helped whenever I get nauseous + makes reaching my water goal much easier!- Low start bmi …
I think some programs will take self-pay patients with BMI's under 35.- Just So Proud
Wow! 60lbs in 3 months is incredible! Congrats on feeling stronger and better!- Postop diet advice
You are doing great! I have had several stalls...and found when I cut out the protein shakes and increased my vegs+lean meat+eggs, my stall(s) would break. The protein shakes are easy protein, but for me, they seem to stick with me. Good Luck!- It only took 3 years....
After everything you have gone thru....YOU GOT THIS!! Congrats!! ?- Any April 2021 surgeries?!
- Any April 2021 surgeries?!
I use the patch as well. My blood work has been better than before surgery. ?- Sleeved on Saturday and feel completely alone
All of the above is great advice...+ listen to your body! Every person is different. I stayed on the liquid phase an extra week because my stomach was not ready for puree foods. Then I stayed on puree foods an extra week due to my stomach not ready for solids. As long as you are getting your water in + protein, you will be fine. Don't force yourself to advance to the next stage until your body is ready! Good Luck!- What is your 1st major milestone?
Reached a mini milestone yesterday...have lost 50lbs! It is a bit surreal that 3 months ago I was 50lbs heavier and miserable! So many everyday moments are different now. From getting dressed in the morning and having cute clothes to choose from, to having energy at the end of the day to spend more time with my family. WLS is the best decision I have ever made for myself!- Surgery scheduled for in the AM
