I had my appendix taken out last year. I wasn't quite as big as I am right now but it was still rough on me. I really want my tubes tied because personally I don't want any more kids and I don't want to get in one of those "accident" situations. In my post someone asked me why I wanted my tubes tied at 26. I just don't want any more kids simply as that. :thumbup:. But anyway. Now I have something to look forward too. Take Care April

How ironic. I posted the same question in the general forum. A lady said that she had a hernia repaired and banded at the same time. I haven't talked to a doctor yet but I would love to have my tubies tied and banded at the same time. I think that I'm going to call my insurance company tomorrow and see what I have to do to get pre-approved. If your doctor lets you do both let me know. Take Care April

I have been talking to my hubby about being banded and he keeps asking me it I can commit to the new diet. I say definitely. I have quite a few questions. Ok. I'm 26 230lbs and 5'2". Anyone around the same size as me get banded?? How long were you in the hospital? How long is recoop time? How long are you on liquids? Have you ever had more than one procedure done at one time. I'm wanting my tubes tied and I was wondering if anyone had that done and banding at the same time?

Ok I haven't had the procedure done. I have had my appendix taken out and when they do that they fill your abdomianl cavity with air and if they don't get it all out they say that you could have really bad gas pains and you just have to wait for your body to absorb it. Do they do this for the LB too? Could that be a reason for gas right after the surgery??? April
