Mine is scheduled for this upcoming Monday and I’m nervous. I’m trying to be optimistic but I’m so scared because I’ve been here before. I’m glad I found this site!

I have a 1:1 CBD/THC gummie most nights for sleep. Works wonders. Since I have it just before bed no issues with munchies. My PCP knows and is fine with it, haven’t mentioned it to my WLS surgeon. However, I’ve surpassed her goal weight for me so I assume she wouldn’t care.

I talked to my surgeon about this topic. I have MS, and it does wonders for the painful muscle spasms I tend to get. We are a medical marijuana state, so it’s legal. He just said, stop using about a week before surgery and wait about six weeks to start back and definitely not while on pain killers. They also don’t want me vaping.

Odds are you will not be the first person to ask you doctor. The are your best source of info about this. But I agree with @Creekimp13 . The munchies are definitely not your friend (or mine) during the losing phase. Best of luck.

I actually just posted about this! I am only 8 weeks out and I had an edible on vacation. It was kind of nuts for me. I felt it intensely. I didn't really like it and I had a small piece. But for reference, I don't really take edibles often. I ate a lot and slept a lot on them. I feel like if I took them often it would definitely slow my progress.

It has been 7 months, and 2 days since my WLS.
I finally hit my GOAL when weighing in this morning. I have never been this small in my adult life.
It is such a great feeling, knowing that everything I worked for up to this point has been worth it.
My ONLY regret is that I didn't do this 10 years ago.
I have lost 81 lbs., went from a size 20 jeans, now in a size 6, (I posted a few days ago that I was a size 8, but my new jeans were actually too big, and I had to get a size 6).
I am sooooooo happy!!! ?????

Yeah i didn’t way myself until 6 days after surgery because I didn’t want an inaccurate number frustrating my pre op weight. Today was the 6th day and I’m 5lbs down from my surgery date.

I like to call myself the poop queen. I wear my crown proudly, after a decade of diverticulitis and multiple bowel resections and now WLS.
After a liquid diet of truly clear liquids it is not uncommon to not have a bowel movement in that long. That being said, do you feel uncomfortable or is your stomach super hard or distended? Are you able to pass gas?
Once you start drinking full liquids and eating soft foods you will find yourself making stool.
True clear liquids are like a vacation for your bowels, once you can no longer see through the stuff you are drinking you will have waste.
Hope that answers your question, if not ask, my brain holds much knowledge of all things related to poop.

Congratulations on your weight loss and journey to becoming a healthier YOU! I think you should reevaluate your definition of “friend” because the people you described in your post are anything but that! Keep working towards the person YOU want to be. I attend weekly therapy sessions and we discuss a lot of coping skills so maybe some ongoing therapy with someone who is experienced with bariatric patients will help some. ?

I am I year out. I am doing well I can anything. In tiny amounts. I went from a size 18 to a size 6. I still weigh 144 pounds. Want to be 125. The wt loss has stopped. But that is my fault I am not exercising I need to get moving

My daughter and I are going together surgery is March 25 sooooo excited

Oh my goodness, what AREN'T I looking forward to???
patio season dress weather driving with the windows/sunroof down and the music turned waaay up patio season daylight beyond 8pm smell of cut grass patio season walking to the corner store/grocery/coffee shop instead having to drive open toe shoes and pedicures ...did I mention patio season????
