  1. I have lost 47 lbs since preop and was banded on August 8th. I was 267 to start. I have just been following the protein diet to a tee and have had my first fill which I have actually slowed down losing since then ironically. I am getting lots of fluids in daily. At least 64 oz. and eating meat, light cheese in moderation, and eggs. I was just able to add in veggies this week. Every one is different was you will do it!!!! I know how hard it is to be patient though!
  2. Hi everyone...i was banded on July 8th and have lost 41 lbs. Wooohoo! The only problem is...I am SO sick of meat, cheese, and eggs. I have four more weeks until i can add in vegetables. How did all of you get though the post op diet without going crasy! Any feedback would be greatly appreciatede! Thank you so much!
  3. I had my class yesterday and started my 2 week pre-op diet today. I just feel so overwhelmed with all of the changes in my life that are to come! Anyone else feeling discouraged with the pre-op diet and have any advice? I know this is broad for discussion but I am new to this and wanted to share my feelings! I am sooo excited for the outcome! I will be banded July 8th. Thanks everyone!
  4. My pre-op class was yesterday and they recommended Atkins Advantage shakes because is in low cal and high in protein. A little expensive I think but I am on my first day and drank vanilla this morning. It was pretty good. I am already starved though!!!!
