  1. I go by the mantra that if it hurts, check it out, esp. when it has to do with the lapband. I had discomfort when swallowing some things at first, but not real pain. I sometimes feel like I am choking (similar to when I have a cold) and cough a lot until the feeling goes away, but that isn't to say I feel real pain. Bottom line, when in doubt, call the pros!
  2. Hey, did you ever think about making your own freezer pops in your favorite soda pop flaver--only diet version? Tupperware used to make a form for making Koolade pops. If you used something like it you could pour up some soda, let it sit for a while to lose most of the fizz, pour and freeze it right up. Voila!
  3. I was told that the fizz in the soda is the culprit. If you get too much fiz in your tummy, it will cause a gas bubble with no place to go and will be extremely painful. 'm a chicken, I guess, but I don't want to tempt fate. I suppose if you waited until the soda was really flat, it might be OK.
  4. I, too, have had a challenge with pill-taking. I have one pill that I take 4 times daily that is a 400 mg, whopper. I tried downing it with applesauce, yogurt, etc. and could never bypass the horrible flavor. The best try came with cranberry-pomegranate applesauce. The reason is that it tastes so tart itself that it almost kills the taste of the medicine. Good luck to you, and may this be your smallest hurdle in the race!! I have lost 45 lbs. and have about 30 to go. Every time that old medicine grabs my tastebuds, I just will it down and wait:tongue_smilie: for the day when I either swallow the pill whole or don't need to take it at all! Mimibate
