  1. I had my second fill today - my doc does not use flouro. Apparently I'm one of his "difficult" patients that he has a hard time filling. I have to lay down on a pillow with a Dallas phone book under it for him to try and find my port. Then he sticks me several times and today he even asked the nurse for a different size needle! Anyway, after my first fill I was able to drink a whole cup of Water with no problem. This was 3 wks ago. As of the first part of this week, I was able to eat a hamburger with no problem, so I decided to get another fill. After the torture of today's fill, I drank a sip of water and felt restriction. They said "Great, see you in a month" and I was on my way. Now I've been trying to drink some juice and keep feeling like I need to burp, and have pressure in my throat. I've never PB'd so I don't know how that feels, but I don't like the way I am right now. I was wondering if I would feel better if I tried hot liquids. I don't want to go back to the doc for an unfill unless I absolutely have to. It takes 3 hours of time away from work, not to mention the discomfort. I need to know if most people feel this way right after a fill, and if I will do better in a few days, or if you think I may need to go back. My doc's going to be out of town for the next 2 wks, so I'll have to see him tomorrow if I'm going to. - Thanks!! Tara 220/191/140
  2. Hi everyone. I was just banded on 3/3/06 and may be able to make it to the lunch. I live in Flower Mound and work full-time from home, so I don't get out much! Would love to make new friends and learn about life with the band from some of you pros.
  3. Got mine 3/03/06 by Dr. Wade Barker at Vista Hospital in Garland for $12,500. I got a quote from him the end of last year. I think his price went up slightly at the first of 2006. Great doc, one-to-one service at the hospital. Mine was less because of using this hospital. It's not the prettiest place on the outside, but the care was excellent.
