  1. Has anyone experienced late post-op pain? My bypass was on 2/8/21, so I'm almost 5 weeks post-op. On Saturday, I started to experience a tight/burning-like pain on my left side (near that larger incision). I've spoken with my surgeon a couple of times to check-in and they said it's the internal sutures healing and could last 1-2 weeks! This is killing me! I want to get out and start walking and exercising but I feel like I can barely move! So frustrating! Everything else is going so well!
  2. Hi! Just coming back for an update! I had my surgery on 2/8. I feel like I’m doing pretty good getting up and walking and sipping as much as I can! I’m anxious for the incision pain to pass! Definitely a struggle moving around!
  3. I'm feeling the same way! I've lost about 10 pounds on the pre-op diet and it has me second-guessing myself; maybe this time I could do it on my own.....But how many times have I been here....too many to count! 10 days til surgery!
  4. Started my Pre-op diet today. 3 shakes and 2 frozen dinners (300 calories or less with at least 15 grams of protein) each day and then all liquid the day before. I made it through week one last time and my surgery got canceled b/c of the rising # of COVID cases. I'm hopeful that I won't get postponed again! Wishing you all good luck!!
  5. I was originally scheduled for January but was postponed, just got my new date of Feb 8th! I'm so excited and scared at the same time! My pre-op diet starts on Monday!
