I wouldn’t wear a bra because you’re going to have to remove it anyway and probably keep it off until you go home. One less thing to have to deal with when you leave. I am wearing a oversized t-shirt and oversized men’s sweatpants when I go Wednesday. I just want stuff that is easy to put on and take off.

So I’m down almost 13 lbs since I started my preop. I can’t believe the difference! Wonder how I’m going to look after 6 months post op wow!

On a scale of 1-10 I am at a 7 right now lol my surgery is Wednesday and I just really cannot believe it! Seems like I’ve been on this journey forever in reality 6 months lol

Hey I am so happy to hear you are doing well. Did you talk to your doctor about the swollen abdomen? Did that just happen? I wonder how it feels not to have hunger. Not too long for me now omg lol

My dietician didn’t give me any specific instructions on what I could and couldn’t eat. I asked her and her answer was very ambiguous so I’m just frustrated. I have been eating sugar free jello sugar free popsicles sugar free pudding shrimp protein shakes tuna and of course a lot of water. I eating about 600-800 calories a day. I also had chicken breast and ground turkey a few times last week. Then I had cream of chicken soup yesterday. I did lose about 9 lbs so are over like 6 or 7 days but idk I’m just getting overwhelmed.

Yes I have had the sugar free popsicles and jello just the strawberry and cherry but I didn’t know if the chocolate and vanilla sugar free puddings were allowed. I’ll ask my dietician, thank you.

Are cream of soups, the 98% fat free kind, are these ok to eat while on the pre-op diet? They seem to have a lot of carbs and sodium but I know people use those are their staple. I bought a few yesterday and I had a cream of chicken and it was really good. So now I’m worried that maybe I shouldn’t have them? Please help! This also goes for the sugar free chocolate and vanilla puddings, are these ok?

They also drew blood, I also had an Ekg, and a chest X-ray. My COVID test is Saturday.

Wow we have the same surgery date! I noticed my blood pressure improved as well so that’s good. What other tests did you have to get done?

My surgery date is March 3rd so next Wednesday. My surgery will be a little complicated as well because I have to have a small mass removed so I will have a partial gastrectomy also. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement it means a lot.

Pre admin testing was easy peasy! Now I’m really looking forward to the surgery!

Good morning everyone. About to head to the hospital for my pre-admin testing. Just want it to be done and over with I hate getting my blood drawn ugh! Wish me luck!

Congratulations everyone I’m glad things went well for you all and it is definitely giving me some hope for my upcoming surgery. It’s nice to hear that not everyone has a bad or unpleasant journey definitely helped with my anxiety.

I am March 3rd as well, first I was March 17th, then I was told March 2nd, but the nurse told me the wrong date so it is March 3rd.
