  1. Well as of now I’m only 12 days out and so far it’s been one of the best decisions I have made! I have not had any heartburn or puking after meals. My pain as been very minimal. The only disappointment I have had is I have not lost any weight but I’m sure once I have healed from the surgery and exercise I will lose. Since I was puking after ever meal or after anything I took in before the surgery my calorie intake was low and now that I’m actually keeping my protein shakes down my calorie intake is higher.
  2. I had the revision on 1/11. I have not lost any weight but I have no heartburn or puking. I was more sore then anything. I can drink normal, in fact I feel like I could eat or drink whatever. I haven’t but I can take drinks of water without any issues and water was a huge problem for me.
  3. All the diet restrictions are different. I thought I would be clear liquids for a week or two.
  4. I was excited and inpatient waiting. I finally had it on 1/11/21. Overall I’m doing good. I have been drinking and I’m already on phase 2 which seems fast to me. When I had the sleeve and left the hospital I was 15 pounds. As of now the scale hasn’t moved. Hoping I’m doing everything right.
  5. I have been waiting for your update!!! Glad to know over all your doing okay. Make sure to get your fluids in???
  6. I have not had surgery yet. Having surgery to fix the problem.
  7. It was suppose to be today but got canceled due to COVID and I don’t have a reschedule date yet.
  8. I have not had surgery yet. I had the sleeve in 2013. I have a hernia and horrible reflux now so converting to a bypass
  9. No I didn’t have the mini. Yes, I do sips of liquids all day but per my doctor I still have to try soft foods. I’m on several meds for reflux. My esophagus was so swollen at one point but the meds have helped with that. Some days are better then others.
  10. I was never put on a pre-op diet this time other the liquid diet 1-2 days before surgery. I’m not taking much in now. Anything I eat I end up throwing up so my intake isn’t good. If I can keep a protein shake down a day I’m doing good. My reflux is just so bad.
  11. I was scheduled for 11/23 but got canceled yesterday due to COVID I’m so disappointed. Hoping to get rescheduled soon. Everyone sounds like they are doing great!
  12. I hear the pain is so much worse then the sleeve or if you had the bypass originally. Sounds like your doing great!! I have been on Protonix twice for months now plus Carafate four times a day. I’m excited for the weight loss don’t get me wrong I just keep reading that it is slow and some don’t lose so I was hoping to get tips on how to make sure I do lose. Hope you keep doing well.
  13. I had the sleeve in 2013. I lost a lot of weight. I have regained more then I would like but I’m still happy with the sleeve and no where near the size I was. I have had issues with GETD, vomiting and horrible heartburn at night. Finally got a doctor to listen to me and referral me to a surgeon who immediately knew I needed surgery to fix the problem. So know I’m scheduled for the bypass 11/23. My pain goal is relief from the GERD, vomiting and heartburn. However, I’m wondering how much weight will I lose, how fast will it come off? What are some tips for the second time around. i
