AJaymon reacted to skyewolfe in Discouraged about protein intakeI wouldn’t recommend them. Most protein pills are only 1g of protein each. That would end up being a super expensive way to get your protein in. Depending on your stage there’s many options. On days where I have a hard time tolerating solid food I’ve found I can eat quest protein chips (the tortilla style ones). 21g protein per bag (they’re small bags similar to the bags of chips you buy for like $1.50)

AJaymon reacted to kelly Lake in Discouraged about protein intakeI also wanted to say I can only drink the premier protien shakes, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, Blueberry and apple cinnamon. I like them because they aren't slimy, chalky, chunky or too sweet. If you have not found the ones you like keep looking AND when you begin solid foods get lots of high protien meats if you're not a vegetarian that is! I do a lot of lemon pepper cod, I hate canned tuna so I make tuna fish with light mayo, celery seed and relish juice from tuna steaks! I eat my protien first and I just try to make it a priority on my plate. I can only eat about 3-4 oz of food at a time so it makes cooking the better quality more expensive food options go a longer way in my freezer or fridge making options for better quality foods more available in my budget

I'm at 3 months also and found pork was one of my triggers for now. I test ate small amounts of soft pork (tenderloin, roast) a couple times and was ok but then as I started eating it as a full on meat for dinner I threw up every time.
When talking to my nutritionist she told me that pork has more connective tissues than chicken and it's harder for us to digest. So the tiny amounts I ate was probably ok since I didn't each much meat at all back then, but once I started eating more it just sat there filling my pouch more and more.
I'm allowed to officially have pork in a couple months though so I'm hopeful I can enjoy it again then.

AJaymon reacted to GivinItMyALL in Keeping food warm/coldYes... This is what I was going for. I wonder if that would work well... I'll have to look into it. Thanks! Wonder if anyone has any food-warning experience with them...

AJaymon reacted to mattk53 in Keeping food warm/coldI don't want to sound condescending, but how about a microwave? Also, the thing I had to get used to after surgery was chewing each bite 20* times. The old me would chew 4 or 5 times then swallow. I did that about two weeks out while eating a piece of chicken and it was the only time I vomited since the surgery. Make sure you chew up everything to excess.
