I went to the ER today, 3 weeks post op (sleeve). I have had left side and back pain since day 5 but last night it was awful and Tylenol wasn’t helping. I was Dx with a splenic infarction, no infection, no abscess, no leaks. The pain is miserable but the dr said all they can do is give me pain meds and that the pain will go away in a few days to a week. I’ve already been dealing with this pain for 16-17 days. has anyone dealt with this and if so, how are you now? I’d like to hear other peoples stories who went through this same thing. I called my surgeon’s office to let them know and got a cd of my ct scan to send to them. Should I be under more care with a doctor? I don’t see my surgeon again until April and after telling them about my ER visit they didn’t seem to care or act like I needed to be seen again sooner.
