November 16! I started my journey in February. PreOP diet starts today.

I’m scheduled 11/9 for bypass. I start my liquid diet tomorrow. Finally starting to sink in a feel real!!

Hello I am Nov 16th and truly afraid but ready for the lifestyle change. I have already bought items such as bone broth and protein powder unflavored. I would like some feed back on other supplies and recovery. hope your surgery goes well.

Hi all, I’m scheduled for 11/16 and start liquids Fri evening. I’m going to follow everyone that’s scheduled in Nov as we’ll all be in the same boat. ?

My wife and I are going to be having surgery together on the same date. We have insurance approval but don't have our final date yet. I'm pretty sure we will have the date by the end of next week and I will update my post after that. Our preliminary date we sent to insurance was November 16th.

I hope what I wrote on our surgery list made sense! LOL Anyone is welcome to fix it if you find a way to explain it in a less confusing way.
I decided to tell only a handful of people about my surgery. If I told everyone, some will be very supportive and a few will give me a million reasons why I shouldn't. At the moment the only people I've told are, hubby, 2 siblings, and about 3 friends. For now am keeping kids in the dark about it.
I'm expecting plenty of upset people when they find out that I didn't say anything to them, but I just don't want to open myself to opinions and possible injections of doubts. Once I've done it and gotten over recovery, then I'll be more open.

Had my pre-op visit today and finally got the dreaded pre-op diet. A protein shake for breakfast, another for lunch, and for dinner, 3-4 oz of protein and a cup of steamed vegetables. I'm starving already. I can also have 1-2 cups of broth and all the water I want, as long as it's at least 64 oz. On the drive home, I was thinking I could maybe stop and pick up one last hamburger or some Mexican food, but since this is a food change I'm going to have to do for life, I figured I'd better get on with it. 13 days to surgery. I'll be glad to get it over with, because then at least I won't feel hungry.

Booked for November tenth!!! I’m excited for things to finally happen!

I start my 2 week pre-op diet on the 20th. It is all liquids and two snacks (an egg or yogurt). My birthday is on the 25th. This year will be booze and cake free. I am celebrating a new me! I can't wait until Nov 3. That is the first day of my new life.

I am hopeful to be sleeved in November. Finishing up my final insurance requirements this week related to my pre-op list and one last weigh in check beginning on October. I know realistically it could be December but *fingers crossed*
