  1. As far as fluids to avoid post op, make sure you stay away from anything carbonated and make sure you are not drinking within an hour of eating. Because of the empty calories, alcohol is not recommended. However, we all have to live and an occasional glass of wine is fine for most people. Perhaps you could find a substitute to help as you wind down from work...maybe try a smoothie or something hot? Take care, Lynn
  2. Apparently there is a fill nurse from the TLBC who is willing to do fills on patients in BC. Her name is Nancy and she can be reached at the TLBC 1-800- 409-8151 extension 337. Edit: Sorry...I understand there may be a misunderstanding and this nurse may only be able to do fills on patients from TLBC.
  3. Hi, My surgery sites were healing well and my doctor gave me the go ahead to swim after 10 days. Lynn
  4. I was banded on Friday, June 6th as well! I am pretty lucky I guess as I haven't had any gas pains. I was told that if you lay flat, it helps the gas dissipate so I layed flat for quite awhile on surgery day. I am not sure if that helped or not. This is an interesting journey we have begun!!!!
