17 days post-op and I'm gaining weight. :-(
I plateaud for a week and then gained two pounds and it was very discouraging but my doc said stalls and gains will happen and i have to not freak out. if i know im doing what im supposed to do the sleeve will kick back in and the weight will begin to move downwards again. She was right. I lost the two pounds last week and hopefully have broken that stall/regain for a bit. Just wait it out, stay positive and keep following doc orders;)

Constantly feeling overly full
Oh no i am so sorry your experiencing this. I cannot relate so it's hard to know what to say to u. This is obvious, but ld def talk to ur doc asap after the holiday. I know everyone is diff and some ppl do feel extremely full, nauseous and even hungry. Since everyone is so diff its hard to know what is "normal" and not concerning. Good luck and keep us posted!

Newly sleeved and confused?
Oh awesome to find someone with a surgery date close to me!!! Uwon't regret trying the body armor lyte and powder! I love the body armor drinks and it helps me hit my carb goal. The protein powder is "flavorless" but still gets to me sometimes so i just make myself use it anyways. Today I knew I was behind on fluids and protein for the week bc ive let myself get off track focusin on college so I tried to just do the powder in water and it gagged me. I can't do it. Still looking out for little tips and tricks!

First Plateau?
I hit my first stall at weeks 4-5 and it scared me, even knowing it waa called the three week stall mark. Bwginning of qeek five i woke up and had lost 2lbs..still going again:) we've gotta somehow expect this and not let it bother us but it's difficult when the scale is consistently dropping and then it just doesn't for a bit..stay positive!

how many nights for sleeve
I had surgery 7.27.20 and stayed one night. I was walking and sipping water just fine but wanted pain meds at the hospital. Went home with children's liquid tylenol, which scared me bc i thought i needed narcotics, but realized i was just fine without them. I had no nausea or gas pain others mention. Like others mention tho, the first few days i would get a shooting pain if i smooshed my stomach sitting too far up, getting to a standing position from laying and laying back from sitting. Couldnt sleep on my sides for about a week and a half without that tight feeling and pain and then instantly all that changed one day. Im 40 days out and sleep on my side, no pain at all, tolerating foods and drinks just fine, feeling completely healed, my incisions glue has come off all 6 incisions, i feel my energy rising, and my husband says he notices im already happier bc i have zero back pain and hip pain like i did prior to surgery! It's amazing! U wont regret it.prayers for u!!

Newly sleeved and confused?
Unfortunately all post op instructions vary according to your surgeon's and dietician's guidance. I had sleeve surgery 7/27/20 and thia is the schedule I am on: Weeks 0-4: 1-2oz liquids every 15-30mins Weeks 5-8: 3 tablespoons(1.5oz) puree..no red meat no veggies..cottage cheese consistensy. Very moist very soft Weeks 9-6mos: 2-3oz (limit 1 oz fruit and veggies) ground beef okay now. No other red meat or starchy veggies (corn, peas, potatoes). 6months+: 4-6oz (1/2-2/3 of meal should be protein). All meat and veggies okay now. Limit starches to 1 oz. 40 days post-op and I tolerate these foods well and don't rely on my shakes anymore thanks to isopure whey protein isolate added to body armor lyte drinks. I was dying trying to drink pp shakes..they took me forever to finish. The body armor lyte is a thinner liquid sports drink: Day1--------------600 calories 2 cheese sticks 3 turkey sticks 2 16oz body armor lyte plus protein powder 2 16oz water Totals for day 1: Protein 77g (goal 60g-75g) Carbs 39g (goal 30g-60g) Fat 28g (goal less than 30g) Sugar 4g Day 2-----‐-----------542 calories 2 turkey sticks 2 eggs 2 16oz body armor lyte with protein 2 16oz waters Totals for day 2: Protein 72g (goal 60g-75g) Carbs 40g (goal 30g-60g) Fat 22g (goal less than 30g) Sugar 6g I had my one month post op last week and the dietician said im hitting all my goals but shed like me to only eat 3 times a day and drink protein shakes still in between bc im pretty much snacking on 1oz portions of food all day instead to meet my goals. I, too, feel like im lost and just wingin' it here trying to find what works for me. As long as the scale goes down im happy:) hang in there and ull figure out what works for u!

Choosing between surgeries
Im only 40 days out from sleeve but no problems and down 35lbs already. I preferred bypass bc my mom is 15 years out, i thought bypassers lost more weight and faster, and i believed bypass had less "failed" patients... but my doc said the "failed percentage" is only a bit lower for bypassers, i was self pay and my husband didnt want to spend 25k instead of 17k for bypass instead of sleeve. Also, my surgeon doesnt do bypass on former smokers bc he doesnt believe they will stop for good and bypass has even worse risks and complications due to smoking so I went with sleeve.i questioned myself a million times about rny vs sleeve until i had it. Now im glad i chose sleeve:)
