  1. Hi All try not to worry I had my surgery Nov 27th 2020. I was scheduled for the 13th and a day before the cancelled. Covid was the reason then they called me on the 20th and asked if I would be up for being the first out patient to have it done. Of course I said yes all went well. Keep the faith all will work out for everyone. Wishing you all the best. YOU'VE GOT THIS.
  2. Thank you for the reply and encouraging words, I was really feeling down. I Will try to get my water intake up and get more exercise. I hope all continues to go well for you. I have been told I'm beating myself up so thank you the response it was truly needed.
  3. Hello I had the sleeve done 11/30 and week 2 I had a stall that lasted 3 weeks and I gained 5 pounds. I went to the nutritionist and she told me I needed to eat more because my body is going into starvation mode. After I did that I started to se a few pounds come off. I still think its not enough. I see the doctor tomorrow he will let me know what he thinks.
  4. Hello All I had surgery 11/30/20 I started off @ 306 then on surgery I was 283 I am now 258.3. Should I feel like I have failed my surgery? Are my expectations to high I feel I should have done better.

  8. Hello all Just wanted to thank everyone for this forum. I had my surgery 11/30 so I'm 1day post op it went extremely well and I had no pain. It was done as outpatient due to Covid. So happy its over and I can handle liquids no problems. I appreciate having this site to read about others journey. Wishing all the best

I know how you feel dont worry it will turn around I was all set for Nov 16th and after being on the diet for 10 days and 4 days away from surgery they cancelled But they called me this Monday and rescheduled for Nov 30th it will work out we put in the work and get the rug pulled from underneath us get the disappointment but keep your head up it will work out for you .

  13. Yes its just a delay as far as the program but January 1st starts my deductible over and I already paid it for this year that would covet99the surgery and they dont know when they will start back since the beds have been turned into covid beds

  16. Hello I too have thought about cancelling I am on Nov 16th. But I have come this far and even began to buy supplies. I don't know if I want the sleeve or the bypass my doctor says he is ok with either one so that doesn't help me decide. I feel you will cheat yourself out of a fresh start and grow to regret staying in bad health. I wish you all the best and wise decisions.
  17. Good to hear I don't remember to always take pills and don't care for them. Can you tell me what brand of patch you went with if you don't mind. Thank you
  18. Thank you I guess I will have both and just see what works best. I was getting the patches for the first month don't know how well I will do with chewable.
  19. Do you think the patches for the vitamins needed are ok to take or do you recommend pills.

  21. Hello I am Nov 16th and truly afraid but ready for the lifestyle change. I have already bought items such as bone broth and protein powder unflavored. I would like some feed back on other supplies and recovery. hope your surgery goes well.
  22. I thank you for such a brilliant and up-lifting post. I haven't had my surgery yet that's Nov 16th but I can only imagine all my co workers and family asking the same question. This is a hard and serious decision that we have made for our lives and a number will not be my focus. So I thank you again I needed to read this. May you have Continued Success and Growth.

  25. I was given a date for Nov 16th and just got an approval letter from BCBSIL today 09/18/20. It took BCBSIL exactly 5 days to review and approve the surgery so no worries. I wish all a continued success and fast recovery.
