Heyy everyone! so I have 13 days till surgery! Yesterday was my official day of liquids. I actually started a few days early to get a jump-start, doing pretty well with my liquid diet. Anyone who has had surgery have any advice for us going in? I am a mom of four kids, so I keep prepping my husband on everything. So he's not caught off guard with my life changes. I want to be as prepared as I can be!

Hi everyone, sooo I'm on my liquid diet before surgery. I'm actually starting a week before I'm supposed to (cause I'm crazy) and I noticed that my throat feels thick from drinking the protein shakes. It kind of feels like I'm sick? Sounds odd I know. I've been drinking Premier Protein shakes. I have never had this issue before when I drink them. Maybe because I drinking them more? Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this before?

Thank you for letting me know! Cause I just looked on my account for my insurance and I was APPROVED!!! Now I will be stressing about the surgery LOL

Hi, I just signed up for bariatricpal today, so I'm very new to this. Wanted to know if anyone has contacted their insurance themself to see if they were approved for surgery? I have United Healthcare and it's been two weeks since we sent everything to get approved. I already received a bill from the hospital stating that I need to pay a certain amount 7 days before surgery. I contacted the number that was provided and they told me they wouldn't have had my information if I wasn't approved already. My surgical coordinator has been in and out of the office a lot and I'm just confused at this point. My surgery has already been scheduled for Sep 30th. I know I have some time, but with work I need to know at least 3 weeks before. I'm kind of stressed!
