  1. I did not do fasting after talking with my nutritionist. Since I have had bariatric surgery it would mess my metabolism up. Look up liver shrinking diet. That might help you.
  2. Just hang in there. It will happen.
  3. Yeah that's pretty much what I am doing too. Am glad you are losing at a good rate. I am within 20 of my goal and it has slowed way down.
  4. Yeah the mind likes to play lots of tricks during those stalls. I am now 20 lbs from goal so weight loss has slowed drastically but thankfully it's still going down. How has your progress been?
  5. Tips: -walk as much as you can right after -drink lots of water. I love Crystal light lemonade added to it -stick to your plan -stalls happen. I had one at 3 weeks that lasted two weeks. And one from month 4-5 that lasted 4 full weeks. Don't give up and just stick to the plan. I would do it all over again and am so glad I don't have to take synthroid anymore. I hope yours goes well. Let me know if you have any questions
  6. I had my surgery in March and had hypothyroidism for 24 years and was on 100 mcg of synthroid. After losing 45 lbs in the first three months o went from hypo to hyperthyroid so doctor has taken me off synthroid completely. Just had blood work again last week and TSH and others thyroid levels are perfect. Just stay in contact with your doctor if you start feeling sluggish or have mental fog after losing some of your weight. I am thrilled that my metabolism has reset and I no longer need synthroid ?
  7. Thanks for replying. I finally broke my stall without IF. I did some research on it and it is strongly discouraged in the first year to year and a half for anyone who has had Bariatric surgery so will keep it on my back burner for down the road. I sort of do it anyways because I eat my first meal at 9 a.m. and I don't eat after 8 pm anyways. How far out from your surgery are you?
  8. I had my RNY surgery March 9th and started chewing gum in July with no problems at all.
  9. Am curious if any that had the RNY procedure use intermittent fasting and if so, which method? Has it helped you? Due to my Dr changing my synthroid dosage my weight loss has went to a crawl. Just 3 lbs since July 5th and was losing 2 lbs/week before then. Am considering doing intermittent fasting to shake things up.

  11. I was 238 5'3" before surgery. Am 5 months post op and 188. 50 lbs gone! I am SO happy. Hit a road bump with my thyroid meds so it would have been even more if not for that.

  14. I had bypass March 9th and have had no issues. Am very happy with how it has went. Hope yours goes well.
  15. I used Crystal light lemonade to help get all the water in. Now 5 months post surgery I actually like just plain water. ?. It is worth every bit of it and I would do it again in a heartbeat and wish I had done it earlier.
  16. It was actually ischemic hepatitis. Numbers went crazy high for 3 days and I was awfully sick. Then it resolved. It was either a bile stone stuck in liver that went through or a blood clot from the surgery hit the liver. Thankfully all had resolved now. Numbers are a bit elevated still so that's interesting about the weight loss causing numbers to be elevated.
  17. Yeah I was just hoping to get to the low 180's before the slow down hit. ??. Am trying to stay positive and hope it kicks back in a bit faster.
