  2. I completely understand! I’ve hit a long stall as well where I’ve fluctuated around 3 pounds. I’m hoping that I can finally get out of it because I weighed this morning and it was a different number. We just have to keep pushing!

  4. I am in the same boat! I had a switch done on June 10th, and I’ve plateaued at 30lbs weight loss. I’ve been sitting at 328 for the past week and a half and I’m frustrated. I’ve finally started getting in all of my water, but it’s hard for me to get in all of my protein. I’m on stage 4 of my diet, as that’s what my clinic wants us to do in order to keep our pouch from forming incorrectly. I’m going to sign up at the gym to swim, and hopefully that kicks the weight loss into gear. Keep your head up and don’t give up! We can all do this together!

  6. Thank you! I know you will do awesome! The changes happening to my body is crazy, so I’m excited to see what is in the future next few weeks for you! I know that you’ll get a hold on your AR, it does just take time.
  7. To you both, congratulations! As far as the reflux goes, I never had AR before my surgery, now I take Omezaprole every day for it or I literally can’t eat or drink anything. My surgery was on 6/10 where I weighed in at 360, and I weighed myself this morning and I’m down to 326.

  9. I’m definitely not going to hold my breath, but since it’s a great source of protein, I’m going for it!

  12. Girl I’m telling you! I can’t wait until the eggs and cheese stage!
  13. Had my Duodenal switch done last Wednesday. I must say, it’s been a pretty painful recovery. I’m just looking forward to the weight loss aspect. I also can’t wait to have eggs and cheese!

  16. I’m super nervous myself. I only have one person allowed with me before I go into surgery, but after I go in I’m on my own. I think it’s just the point where I need to focus on healing and getting healthy. I know you’ll do great! Don’t worry too much!
  17. Thank you! I’m a bag of nerves, lol. This is a change that has been deemed medically necessary by the doctors and my insurance, so it’s pretty severe in my case. I’m having the duodenal switch done, so this should be interesting!
  18. I have surgery scheduled for June 10th. My pre-op diet is liquid for 5 days. It is crazy how different places require a different amount of liquid diet. I’m so nervous he’s going to get in there and close me back up because I didn’t shrink my liver enough.
