I think you are correct on that Baarbs, TIN obviously has issues, or is sexually frustrated , or both. He now has to stoop to being ageist too. best we ignore him, he may get fed up and go away. Jojo, I agree with the other posters, I for one have no will power this being the main reason I got the band and I dont regret it for one second. Its like someone putting their hand over your mouth to stop you eating, because if you do eat more than you should you will have pain and probably vomit sometimes, the discomfort you feel really stops you from eating too much. Some people on here say that they have used their will power to help the band, but i never have. my fill in July was a bit too much, and over 3 months i lost 3 stone. I had acid reflux if I ate or even drank anything before bedtime, and I'm talking 2 hours before I tried to sleep. I slept sitting up most nights and apparently according to my family became very miserable. However I dont care cos its 3 stone I could do without. So dont let anyone or thing put you off, you will cope with the band and it helped me no end, in fact I have had 2 bands implanted cos my first one developed a hole . Time is now, I cant believe you posted that trash about Mmm, she is a lovely person, I have met her in real life and I am very offended for her, for the way you attacked her. As she says she is only giving people the benefit of her experience, cos none of us are the same. i think she really deserves an apology from you, because you have been very unfair to her, Maggs is a good person and wouldnt hurt anyone intentionally.

hello to all old members and also hello to newbies. Nice to see some of the old faces, we were such a close bunch and now we dont seem to get on here much. I will have to go for another fill with freddyboy cos I am still the same weight as I was when i went to Australia, and had a fill in December. he said I'd probably need another, and i do, damn it another 90 quid. At least i havent gained any over Xmas, but I do need to get another couple of stone off. Its almost a year since I got the second band fitted and it does work, so glad. Take care everyone and good luck to the people going for their op soon, you'll be fine.

Hya Wishfull long time no speak, how's your weight loss going and how is your daughter? Our baby has 2 teeth now and she's just 4 months, damn teething is such a painful thing for little babies.

Nice to see a couple of the old crowd make it back sometimes, the others have deserted us...meanies. I think I have put on about a kilo over Crimbo but I have drunk a lot of Baileys ( loadsa calories) and eaten a lot of choc, so will be good soon, when all the nice stuff is gone. Glad to hear how much weight you have lost Garry, its brilliant!!! Carrie, enjoy the chocs girl, you deserve them. I had a fill on 10th December, Freddyboy would only put 2 and a quarter mls in even though he took out 3 in October, but he was right, I cant eat like I did after that de-fill. I'm back now to the weight I was before the de-fill and after xmas I may try to be good and not drink or eat choccy, if i cant I'll get another fill cos I have another 2 stone to go. I drink every night, I always have a couple of Scotch or a couple of bottles of Bud, no probs for me at all, I think they make these rules up as they go along. How boring cant eat, cant drink, it'll be no sex soon lol. Of course you get tiddley quicker cos there's not much food to absorb it, that suits me fine lol.

Sweet, I'm sorry never heard of anyone doing that, but i wouldnt worry too much, I'm sure it will be the same as normal food and pass through. If you're unduly worried contact your surgeon or fill person. Sorry again, good luck hunny

Actually I was looking at your profile and you're not really much overweight for your height are you. But why does it say you are going for your op in 1969? lol I had to read it 3 times, and it does say that lol. My daughter has a band and has been pregnant and so has Mmm's daughter, so plenty of info around. I went for a fill with freddyboy today, he is a sweetie, but he said he couldnt put back in the 3 he took out in early October, he put in 2 and a quarter, which I dont feel is enough. he told me to stay on liquids for 3 days, to give my body chance to get used to the restriction again. I have gained 4lbs according to his scales, but I have been bad since I came home from my hols, eating and drinking anything, though not big portions, must be the alcohol. If I need another fill, I'll have to wait until after Crimbo now, seems unfortunate that I have to cough up another 90 quid, cos I'm greedy. Maggs I'm waiting for the pics of the new baby btw lol. Soon kids xxxx

Thanx Maggs and Carrie xxxx I've been dying to post these 2, they were taken on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Oz. Me and my youngest daughter ( who, incidently has now left Oz and is in Malaysia, they fly to Thailand on Sunday where they are staying in the beach resort of Samui and then will be home in January) It was a chocolate cafe, where everything was chocolate, you could even get chocolate pizza but didnt fancy that, and just got the dipping thing...mmm it was gorgeous. Banana bread, marshmallows and strawberries, look at the size of those strawberries! Not like the piddling little things we get here .....no wonder I put weight on eh lol.

Sweet dont despair hunny, the winds of change keep blowing, everything happens for a reason. I'm sure something even better is waiting for you, just try to muddle through this bad time. You still have your band, things will get better. xxxx

Thanx Homecare, we had an awesome time, everything worked out perfectly from hotels to flights. We booked everything independently. We did 10 flights in 3 weeks, but handled them pretty well, saw a lot of places including the street I used to live on in Singapore when I was a little girl, which was pretty upsetting cos my dad passed away when I was 21, and my Mum is now 94 and has a lot of things wrong with her. but so glad i got to go back to my roots so to speak. Weighed today and have lost a kilo, which must have been water from the 13 hour flight from Hong Kong, so have only put on 4.4lbs up to this morning, hopefully more will come off by next week, if not I will go for a fill.

missed you all. Will post asap, think I have put on about 7lbs, but was eating and drinking all I wanted, will check it again once the water retention from the flights has gone (hopefully lol) Maggs, you've done tremendously well, well done you xxxx
