  1. I had my surgery with dr. pompa and they have been very sweet to me. And been taking really good care of me, I did have the sleeve done instead of the lap band.. so i was in ALOT of pain. I have never had surgery before and did not know of what to expect. This is my 3rd day post OP I am still in the hospital. Cant eat or drink anything, but I am positive I will do great. I had this one dr. her name is Dr. Brenda she stay at night with me. I am going to miss her alot when I leave. But let me tell you Dr. Pompa sure knows her stuff. If anyone decides to go with her you are in great hands. I felt comfortable with her. Thanks!
  2. Thanks for your reply, I really apprieciate it. I am scheduled to have my surgery on Fri.....gosh im so nervous....I keep saying im gonna be ok......I have changed my mind on the band, am going for the sleeve. Hopefully its the right decision
  3. Hi everyone....the info here has been really great. my name is Crystal Im from Utah i am getting my lap band on June 20th hopefully. Money is really an issue so I too am going to TJ and Dr. Pompa will be doing my surgery. I am hoping and praying everything will be ok...since i do not have the money to go to Dr. Ortiz like i would like. Ive heard good and bad....my hubby is really concerned about me going to another country lol even though it is like 15 miles away. But if anyone has any advise I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
