ok so Its been a while since I have been on here and am living in Southern Oregon (Grants Pass) any support groups here that anybody knows about?

HeatherO, You had to have your band replaced? that is scary! Is everything ok now? I can't believe that it slipped!!!!

Shrinknme, Thank You for the info it is greatly appreciated...I am doing ok with eating so far and not throwing up! So I am excited to keep my fills...hopefully you can get some more when they are needed.

congrats on a healthy pregnancy and baby!!!! I spoke with my Dr's office today and they suggested to keep it all also...they just had a patient that was delivered last week with no unfills and her baby was 6 pounds but 2 weeks early...very exciting news!!!

Wow So I am still amazed how much weight I have lost so far!!! Now I am at a stand still and need to gain a little weight so I have a happy and healthy pregnancy! Pregnant with my first child and I just found out the other day!!! I am so excited for this new journey in life!!!:tongue2:

Dewl, Thank You and congratulations on your pregnancy! I am 5 weeks....so excited it is my first pregnancy. Is this you first? only .3 cc that is not alot. I am able to eat alot more now that I am pregnant but I fear I will stretch my band! Keep me posted on what is going on. are you going to find out what your having? It is so exciting that another banded person is pregnant!!!:rolleyes2:

ok so I just found out that I am pregnant and I am freaking out!!!! Did everyone have to get their fills reversed or part of it? I am not sure what to do? I guess I need to call my lap-band doctor I just wanted to see what everyone did...thank you!!!:scared2:

congrats on the decision to get banded! It is life changing...I have a really good friend that lives in W Australia...Cant wait to go visit her and her husband their new baby...did u get it done in Australia...wow! good luck!!!

Ejmdiva, Thankx for the advice...congrats on the pregnancy!! did you have to go to the doctor and have some of your fills reversed? are you able to get enough calories for you and you baby? I am 73 lbs down and am at 247...goal weight is 170-150. I hope all goes well for you and your baby!!!

Hello all! I am 7 months post-op and thinking of having a baby. I wanted to know if anyone had any complications? If you continued to loose weight after? and if the baby had any complications? I am also concerned because my doctor told me to wait 2 years but everywhere I am reading it says one year. Also I am not done loosing weight...so I am not sure it is the right time...I just really want kids...any thoughts on my situation please post feedback thankx!

SO I have not posted in a while and just want go give an update. I am down 70 lbs since surgery day (7 months a go) and I feel great! I have 50 lbs to loose before graduation in June and I am determined to hit the goal. With determination and support anything is possible!!!

Today was my first day back (after having summer vacation off) to nursing school. It was amazing all the compliments I got. Everyone was so intrigued that I had lost so much weight. I have lost 39 lbs since June 23 2008 (just a little over 3 months). I am even amazed by the results and have dropped 2 dress sizes. Having lap band surgery was one of the best decisions I made in my life! I know there is so many lifestyle changes, but they are to improve all of you qualities of life! I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for me!
