How long did it take you from your first appointment to have surgery (once your insurance requirements were met)?

@thick_thighs73 were u mostly waiting on getting in for your other appointments then or was there a wait for him?

Really still took 6 months? I was hoping it wouldn’t be as long since I had that knocked out. Im working on my patience lol. So exciting for you tho!! I’m about 40 minutes from Dyer. I had to go to him because my insurance wanted me to go to a Bariatric center of excellence. My first appointment is March 18 with him. I have my psych evaluation this Wednesday!

Hi Sarah! I have UHC and I have been discussing my weight issues with my dr for years now. She is aware of my attempts and she has prescribed several different things. I didn’t have a solid 6 months consecutively with her, tho. I did, however, have it on my Noom account. I was told I could use this if my doctor approved and is aware of my attempts. My doctor filled out my form and signed off on it. It was faxed a few days ago, so I’m waiting to see if the insurance will approve that. Best of luck to you!

Hi! I’m new to this app and I’ve just started getting my ducks in a row. I’ve turned in my 6 month diet form to my insurance, UHC, (my dr backdated as she knew I’ve been dieting forever now haha. I have my physc evaluation this Wednesday and my surgeon consultation with dr. Cahill on March 18th. I’m wondering if anyone has had experience with him? I’m so anxious to find out how long the wait will be after our first consultation. Please forgive any typos.. this is black on black for me so I’m typing blindly ?
