The nurse at my surgeons office was talking about a special drink that i have to use i guess during my 2 week liquiad diet i cant remember tha name seems like it started with an a and i guess its something that you have to order she said my dietian would give me all the details when i go see here but im just curious about the price and where you order from if any1 knows please let me know thanks

So i finally got my date august 25th yippie im so excited seems like iv been waiting 4 ever for this day to finally come i know i got over a month to go but seems like its been forever this long road iv gone through wow!!!!! Any other ppl getting banded on this date? If so yippie!!!!!!

i walked into the door of my home today after work and on my banister was an envelop from my insurance company little did i know that it was my letter that i had been approved for surgery i am so geeked now i cant stop smiling and it only took less than a week i finally feel like my long hard work is finally starting to pay off because i thought this day would never come and it has thank lapbandtalk this forum is truly the best iv learned so much and im so glad i found this website i should find out monday when my date is and i will be sure to let every1 and i mean every1 know:smile2::mad::smile2::biggrin:

waiting for approval from insurance and doing good making sure im getting my protein and less carbs but i heard some1 mention something about protein shots what are those ? are they pretty good? and where do you get them?

i buy a protein mix from walmart comes in vanilla i mix half bananna 2 strawberrys with skim milk i also have had it mixed with peanut better yogert blueberries cinnimon nutmeg ginger and they all taste really good i also am kinda hooked on atkikns ready ;made protein mix i usually mix that with a carnation pack of instant breakfast and pour over ice and bam thats really good good luck to you.

just wanted to let every1 know that i am waiting for my insurance to approve me yippi ! its been a long ride boy! my insurance usually takes about a week so hopefully i will have a date by next weed im so excited thanks to this forum every1 here has been great

nice to see some1 else from kalamazoo i will be getting banded in july and dr versman is going to be doing it he seems very professional and caring docter i hope i have a good experience with my banding any advice you could give a newcomer?

i hope to be getting banded in july just waiting to have my pys consult thats on the 3rd im trying to get everything together so i will be prepared i work full time and trying to decide hw much time i should take off im on my feet most of the day i do nursing and i work 12 hour shifts also how do you make time to make sure your getting the right amount of proteins? its hard for me to take breaks so sitting down and taking a break is usually out of the questions any suggestionss thanks

yea thanks for the advice i am also a nurse and will be h aveing my surgery in july hopefully just waiting on my appt with my phys.its on the 3rd i was planning on taking 6 weeks off just because i really wan ted to heal plus i get short term disability yippie and get use to my body and eating correctly you know as nursed we cant always take the needed time we need for our breaks lol but thanks your advice really helped.

im trying to get all my belongings in order as far as everything i will need before i get banded i will hopefully be getting banded in july what should i purchase now for before banding that i will be using after i get banded any suggestions would be nice thank you

any1 know or have taken a product called muscle milk before? was just wondering what it is and if it is a good high protein shake that is ok to use in the various stages of weight lose any1 know anything if so please let me know thanks

i am not banded yet will be either in july or aug just waiting for my physc evaluation but i am trying to find a good high protein shake that is pretty good any suggestions? and also how many sugar grams each should you or do you consum in a day? i do slimfast and a brand from gnc but was wondering if the sugar content was too high any1 with any suggestions would be very much appreciated thanks

yippie!!!!! i just talked to my insurance company and found out that my phys evaluation and my dietian consult and better yet my surgery is all covered 100% under my plan i have been saving because i just knew i was going to have some out of pocket expense for my surgery the only thing out of my pocket is my 10.00 co-payment for my office visits whew what a huge releif!!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

does any1 know how to get all the extra things that show weight loss and when you had or have appointments or surgery dates i would really like to knw what link or how you get that downloaded thanks

you go girl!!!!! you are absolutley gorgous and you sound like you have it going on... i havent gotten the band yet but im really close i go for my consult and to set a date on the 10th i also to am looking forward to being more active considering i have to kids i would love to be around when they get married lol i want to play ball ride bikes run and play with them without being tired so i feel you on the active part good luck to you and keep on shining

i h avent been banded yet hopefully in july or august but i had been playing around with the thought of surgery for years in fact i went to a seminar in 2006 and kept holding on to my information packet intil november of 2007 in that time i tried to convince myself that i could handle my weight problem on my own but in the meantime i was steady gaining weight iv been to weight watchers off and on for years and would lose weight but always seemed to regain i approched my mom about weight lose surgery and she dident think it was a good idea and always replyed that i could do it on my own i finally came to the realization that i couldent turned my papers in and already have done my 6 months weight management i have an appointment next tuesday with the surgeon and will find out my surgery date i wish that i had of gone through with everything when i first went to the seminar but now i know im ready and im commited to this my mom has also came around and supports me 100% i feel like this is the best decision i have every decided to make not only for myself but also for my two children good luck to you trudi

id be interested in hearing if any1 is able to drink pop after their surgery they say that the carbonation in it can cause gas and a feeling of uncomfortableness i dont drink alot of pop bt once in a while i have a craving for it can any1 let me know what your experience has been. thank you:smile2:
