  1. Hi still waiting Thats sux, why dont these doctors listens to us, we know our body better than anyone. im so happy that at least you are getting it worked out and that you know the problem is fixable. What type of band do you have? I hope all goes well for you. goodluck and let me know how you are going.
  2. whew!....im glad im not the only one... i have been banded 3 weeks and on mushie stage and although i only eat the 1/2 cup amount i dont actually feel full. i just dont eat any more cos i supposed to only have the 1/2 cup at a time.
  3. hi, i was just wondering have you had your thyroid levels checked lately, that can really impact on your weight loss. are you on medication for your diabetes? this can often stop you losing aswell. make sure you are drinking plenty of water during the day and keep away from things like juice and cordial you would be surprised how many hidden calories these contain.
  4. are you serious? it is that kind of thinking that made you fat in the first place. i have been banded for 2 weeks and still on the liquids. you should see it as a freedom.....freedom from always thinking about food and wanting to eat....look at it as a positive thing and use your time in other ways....otherwise you may not succeed to your goals. the band is only the first step, it is a tool to help you, its not a magic cure you still need to put in the hard work to lose the weight. there are so many overweight people that cant afford the procedure and would love to be in our posistion...dont waste the opportunity you have to become healthy.
  5. Hi to all, im 37 years old and live in australia i had a lap banding done last monday. my experince was good. i would recommend it to anyone that is morbidly obese. since last week (9 days) I have lost 12kg and except for a little wind pain have been great. one thing i do recommend is that you find a doctor that you are confident in and that has a good support team. i would love to hear from you with your experinces.
