  1. I had my surgery yesterday, June 4th. Feeling a little icky today, I think it is the lortab elixier. I am sooo happy that I did it, though! Can't wait to get over the anesthetic and surgery a little more so I can get on with my life! I thought I would have trouble with the 5 days of Clear liquids, then 5 days of full liquids, etc... but I have to make myself drink right now. Hopefully this ickiness won't last long...
  2. Thank you so much for your support! I think this website is more supportive than the group they set me up with!
  3. Hi everyone! Last day of my preop diet! Tomorrow is surgery day! I've lost about 15 lbs, and my doc said that was good. He said that people who are able to lose weight prior to surgery do better afterwards. I am excited, because my husband and I work in the operating room and I know my nurse and scrub tech and anesthesia team personally. I know they will take good care of me! I think the preop diet really does get easier after a few days, especially if you can stay busy & drink lots of Water. I have been making crystal light slushes in the blender...
  4. I'm on day 6 of high protein shake+ plain veggies preop diet. It's getting a little easier, I think. I'm getting excited, because band date is June 4th!
  5. Getting banded on June 4th! Today is day 6 of my preop protein shake & veggies diet. It stinks, but it will be worth it, I hope!
